Draymond Green likes idea of Mavs fan matching his $25K fine for altercation in Dallas

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green was fined $25,000 for directing obscene language toward a Dallas Mavericks fan at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday. However, the story didn’t end there. As per reports, the Mavericks supporter who had an altercation with Green has also been willing to pay a fine.

The Dallas fan, Alykhan Rehmatullah, was the subject of Green’s ire when the Warriors took on the Mavericks on November 29th. However, Rehmatullah took to Twitter later in the week and claimed that he would also be willing to pay the same fine incurred by Green for the trouble that he caused during the NBA matchup.

What did the NBA fan say about incident with Draymond Green?

He said that he didn’t want Green to be fined because he was simply not offended by what Green said to him during the game. The fan also claimed that he would be willing to pay the fine if the money went to a charitable organization.

Green was then asked by ESPN’s Mallika Andrews about his thoughts on fans also being fined for certain instances. The four-time NBA champion then replied: It’s a cool gesture. You don’t see that happen very often.”

The Warriors star also admitted that he would be happy to offer the money to charity.

Green and Rehmatullah were spotted going at each other during the Mavs-Warriors game. When the teams were lining up for a free throw attempt, Rehmatullah began making fun of Green’s shoes. Green then responded by saying “Enjoy the F****** game, shut up”. He was fined $25,000 for retaliating and cursing the Dallas fan.
