Is Antonio Brown arrested? Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR charged for battery

Antonio Brown is no stranger to controversy and grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons. Earlier on Thursday, police in Tampa Bay issued an arrest warrant for former Buccaneers receiver Brown.

As per reports, the warrant claims that Brown is wanted on a battery charge which occurred from an incident on November 28. The following day, a judge denied the NFL star’s petition for a temporary risk protection order to prevent him from possessing firearms or ammunition if he was considered a threat to himself or others.

However, this isn’t the first time that Brown has gotten himself into problems with the law. Only last month, the 34-year-old was ordered to pay a whopping $1.2 million fine to a Broward County moving truck driver after assaulting a driver from the company.

Before that, Brown stirred controversy when he exposed himself in front of guests at a swimming pool in Dubai. More so, he has received plenty of criticism for recent comments he made over supporting rapper Kanye West and Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving for their problematic opinions.

Antonio Brown’s NFL career and honors

Brown is currently a free agent after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year in January. The receiver first joined the Pittsburgh Steelers and spent nine years with the team. He then had brief stints with the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots.

Brown has won the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in 2021. He is also a seven-time Pro Bowler and has twice led the NFL in receiving yards for a season. Over the course of his NFL career so far, Brown has racked up 12,291 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns.
