QB Aaron Rodgers & Coach Matt LaFleur Exchange Furious Words On The Sidelines
Although Aaron Rodgers is having a poor season, he had a last-second chance to win a game for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys despite the team’s five-game losing streak.
Raw emotion, though, was going to come out after two consecutive runs that consumed much too much time, followed by what appeared to be a desperate flip of a pass on third-and-one that was closer to those on the sidelines than anyone wearing a Packers shirt.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur takes responsibility for the Packers' sloppy end to regulation when Aaron Rodgers wanted to be more aggressive.

So, as per usual, someone had to take the blame, and it sure seemed like it was Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, as the back-to-back NFL MVP directed many expletives in his direction.
With 22 seconds left in regulation, Rodgers was irritated that his head coach had chosen to punt the ball instead of throwing the ball to Aaron Jones on 3rd-and-1 from the Green Bay 42-yard line. At least Green Bay managed to defeat the Cowboys at Lambeau Field on Sunday, winning 31-28 in overtime.

In a video, Rodgers can be heard yelling at LaFleur on the sidelines shortly after the coach made his choice. Jones received an incomplete pass from Rodgers during the play.

“Just every single play call, probably,” Aaron Rodgers said, per USA Today’s Ryan Wood. “Felt like we were 30 yards from winning the game in regulation.”
“We’re not dead.”

Packers Matt LaFleur was asked about the same thing after the game, and the HC had a completely different reaction. “A lot of times when we get in those situations, we give Aaron a lot of freedom to run the show. Today, he does a great job with it. So hindsight is 20–20. That’s on me,” Matt LaFleur said, per Wood.
What did Aaron Rodgers say to Christian Watson on the sideline after his two drops on the opening drive?
“The ball is still coming your way, buddy. Let’s get one of these. Let’s make a play.”

However, it was pretty obvious when late in the fourth quarter Rodgers and HC LaFleur got into a verbal altercation and disagreement could be seen on the face of the reigning Super Bowl MVP. Despite this, the Packers managed to defeat the Dallas Cowboys after losing their previous five games in a row.
