‘They embarrassed my mother’ – Chiefs TE Travis Kelce reveals why he considers Patriots as his ‘biggest rivals’

Travis Kelce and the New England Patriots have never been able to find common ground. On the other hand, Kelce asserts that he harbors a personal grudge against the organization. One of the best tight ends in the NFL recently gave a podcast interview in which he criticizes fans of the New England Patriots specifically.

During a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who has fought numerous battles with the Patriots over the course of his career in both the regular season and playoffs, called out New England supporters for jeering at his mother. Kelce is an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I’m unsure whether they feel the same way about us, but I dislike going up against the Patriots. Travis Kelce made this statement in reference to his primary competitors in the NFL. “They embarrassed my mother in front of the crowd, and I am furious with them for doing so,” he said.

“The jokes you tell about your mother are humorous, but only if they are aimed at me and not at my own mother.” “When your mother is being heckled as she leaves the stadium, you should realize that they are merely expletive-laced low blows, guy.”

Then Kelce gave the impression that other players felt the same way about the fans of Foxboro as he did. After traveling through New England, a lot of people say they have unfavorable ideas about Patriots fans because of their experiences there. Kelce’s career record against the Patriots in games played during the regular season in the National Football League is 4-1.

He has a 0-2 record against New England in the postseason. In games played, especially at Gillette Stadium, Kelce has a record of 2-2. This includes games played during the regular season as well as games played during the postseason.

Even though it is extremely rude to heckle a player’s family member, Kelce has done much over the years to stoke the passion of Patriots fans. Back in 2020, he said that Patriots fans “hate him for being a white tight end wearing No. 87,” which was a way of insinuating that they didn’t like the concept that he may be compared to Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski is an American football tight end. Kelce didn’t like how the NFL handled overtime after the 2018 AFC Championship Game. New England beat Kansas City after the Patriots won the coin toss to decide who would get the first possession in overtime.

Because Kelce’s Chiefs won’t play the Patriots in 2022, the competition between the two teams likely won’t be as intriguing without Tom Brady. However, when Kelce returns to Gillette Stadium in the future, he will continue to feel hatred toward the fans there, and it is highly likely that this sentiment will be shared.
