Miami Dolphins Receive a Huge Update on Tua Tagovailoa and His Return to Action
The Miami Dolphins started the season on the front foot. Tua Tagovailoa and his men got off to a perfect 3-0 start to the season and were the only unbeaten team in the league alongside the Eagles till tragedy struck. In game week four, the Dolphins suffered the first loss of their campaign as they lost 27-15 against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. However, it was not the loss itself that hurt the Dolphins but the injury to Tagovailoa that forced him out of action for a few weeks.

Since Tagovailoa was ruled out of action, the Dolphins faced the New York Jets and succumbed to an embarrassing 40-17 loss. It is extremely clear that for the Dolphins to win Tagovailoa has to be there given his replacement is not nearly as good as he is. A few days before their game week six clash against the Vikings, Adam Schefter of ESPN provided some good news on Tagovailoa for the Dolphins fans.
A huge positive update on Tua Tagovailoa for the Miami Dolphins
He said, “Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa was cleared from concussion protocol today, per sources. He will be inactive on Sunday vs. the Vikings, but he is expected to return for Week 7 vs. the Steelers.”
Schefter continued, “Since suffering a concussion in week 4, Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins and his team of independent doctors followed a thorough process that far exceeded the NFL’s concussion protocol, per sources. He received four outside opinions, in addition to team doctors, who unanimously cleared him from protocol and all agreed that his scans showed no signs of long-term impact to the brain. This is a best-case scenario for the QB who was off to an impressive start to the 2022 season and is expected to return to action next week.”

So far in the 2022 season, Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,035 yards, and eight touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 79.7 which is still the most in the league despite having missed one and a half game weeks. Dolphins fans will be hoping he finds his rhythm as soon as possible so that they can get back to winning ways.
