Agent Releases a Positive Health Update on Myles Garrett After a Near-Fatal Crash Earlier Today
Earlier today, Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett was involved in a horrible car accident. Garrett, who was accompanied by a female, was driving down State Route 18 in Ohio. The Browns’ defensive end was driving his Porsche that lost control and flipped over many times before coming to a standstill.
After which both he and the passenger received emergency medical attention and were rushed to the hospital immediately. At the time of the impact, both individuals involved in the crash were wearing a seatbelt and therefore did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.

After the incident, Garrett’s agent, Nicole Lynn, released a statement regarding her client. The statement said, “While we are waiting to learn the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive,” Lynn wrote. “The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital.”

Cleveland Browns spokesperson said the star, and a passenger were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The team is in “the process of gathering more information.” The images of Garrett’s car after the crash paint a ghastly picture. It is really fortunate that both Garrett and his passenger walked out of the incident unscathed.

Garrett was a five-star recruit out of college and joined Texas A&M University, where he played for three years. Garrett then entered the NFL draft in 2017 where he was the first overall pick made by the Browns and he has stayed with the team ever since. In 2020, Garrett signed a mammoth contract extension with the team.

The contract was for 5 years and worth a whopping $125 million, which at the time was the most for a defensive player. The deal contained $100 million in total guarantees and $50 million guaranteed at signing, with a $25 million average yearly salary. So far this season, Garrett has three sacks and a forced fumble in three games this season. Next up for the Browns are the Atlanta Falcons this weekend.
