NFL Week 3 Panthers 22-14 Saints: Baker Mayfield Might Be Back and Panthers Fans Have a New Hope As Team Prepares to Top the Division
The Carolina Panthers are no longer in possession of the NFL’s longest active losing streak. The Panthers defeated the New Orleans Saints 22-14 to end a nine-game losing run when Shenault grabbed a game-changing 67-yard touchdown throw from Baker Mayfield and Marquis Haynes returned a fumble 44 yards for a score.
The Panthers (1-2) won at home for the first time since defeating the Saints 26-7 on September 19, 2021. As Mayfield passed for 170 yards, Christian McCaffrey ran for 108 yards, and Shenault had 90 yards receiving.
Even though Mayfield has just recently moved to Carolina, he claimed that snapping the losing run “is a weight lifted off your shoulders.”

Baker Mayfield helps Panthers register their first win of the season
After Week 3, the Panthers are in second place, and Baker is clearly a game manager at this point. People need to stop accusing him of continually turning the ball over since he isn’t doing it at all. People, accept the truth that Baker Mayfield is a competent quarterback.

Take a look at this crazy play. Everything was called at the line, and Baker put him in a position where he could score a touchdown. Look at this player taking on the Saints, a difficult division foe, and winning the game while committing no turnovers.
The Arizona Cardinals will play the Panthers (1-2) at Bank of America Stadium next week.
