Aaron Rodgers Credits an Unlikely Source for His Team’s Win Over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In one of the marquee matchups of game week three, the Green Bay Packers led by Aaron Rodgers took on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Going into the game, the Bucs and Brady were heavy favorites to win the game. However, as is the case every game week in the NFL, the only certainty is that there are no certainties. Rodgers and his men pulled off a shock 14-12 win over the Buccaneers.
While a lot of it is down to good calls and collective team effort by the Packer, they had help from an unlikely source. Tom Brady pulled the Bucs within two on a touchdown pass to Russell Gage with just 14 seconds left, but a delay-of-game penalty on the ensuing and failed two-point try set them back five yards.
Aaron Rodgers helped by the jumbotron?
After the game, Aaron Rodgers suggested that the Bucs getting penalized might be something to do with him and the jumbotron at the stadium. He said, “Well they showed it on the previous play, too. It was a delay on both plays. Sometimes you see things in the game. Sometimes the Jumbotron shows things they probably shouldn’t show, even at home. I saw something, (and) I just passed on the information.”

In their final offensive play, Brady could not connect with Gage. The play was from the seven-yard line this time around instead of the two-yard line due to the penalty. Nevertheless, this was enough for the Packers to walk away with a slim lead and hand Brady and his team the first loss of their 2022 NFL season. Aaron Rodgers and his men are now 2-1 this season.

After the game, Brady suggested that the loss was down to bad execution. He also went on to mention that he does not think his team has hit the right groove at this point in time from an offensive point of view which has made late-game drives more important than they need to be. Next up for Brady and the Bucs are the Kansas City Chiefs.
