NFL Fines Leonard Fournette and Marshon Lattimore $13,367 for Their Week Two Brawl
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced the New Orleans Saints in game week two of the NFL season. What started out as a competitive game was soon turned into a dominant performance and a win by the Buccaneers. However, despite an impressive performance, the major talking point of the game between the two sides was the all-out brawl involving the likes of Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans, and Marshon Lattimore among others.

After reviewing the situation thoroughly, the NFL has now handed out fines to Marshon Lattimore and Leonard Fournette to the sum of $13,367 each for unnecessary roughness. Mike Evans was handed a one-game suspension which he will be serving this weekend against the Green Bay Packers.
The incident occurred after the Saints’ defense picked up a third down stop in the early stages of the fourth quarter. Lattimore and Fournette were involved in a shoving match. Things escalated when Mike Evans came out of nowhere and shoved the Saints cornerback to the ground. This started an all-out brawl between the two teams, with everyone jumping in and getting physical.
To my fantasy owners I’m sorry Touchdowns coming soon!!!!!!!

The staff and coaches from both teams played an important role in diffusing the tension, and both Mike Evans and Marcus Lattimore were immediately ejected from the game. This is now the fifth time Marcus Lattimore has been fined in his career, whereas it is fine number three for Leonard Fournette.
Leonard Fournette to play a key role in the game vs the Green Bay Packers
Fournette has had a good start to the season. Against the Saints, the 27-year-old had 26 touches for an admirable 74 yards, he averaged just 2.7 yards per carry and never found the end zone.

However, he ranks second in the league in carries (45) and fifth in rushing yards (192) through the first two weeks of the season. Against the Packers, Brady will rely heavily on Fournette and his pass rushing to secure a win given Packers are particularly weak at defending against the rush. It will be interesting to see how Brady navigates the game against the Packers with a severely injured squad.
