Boston Celtics are Set to Suspend Their Coach Ime Udoka, Who is Dating Actress Nia Long Since 2010, For Having a Consensual Relationship With a Fellow Celtics Staff
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, who is dating Nia Long, may face disciplinary action, including a “substantial suspension,” for having a consensual relationship with a member of the Celtics staff.
Udoka’s employment is not immediately in danger, according to Wojnarowski, and a decision about the suspension’s duration may be made on Thursday. In addition, he stated that Udoka may miss the whole 2022–23 campaign.
The 45-year-old Udoka has been seeing the actress Nia Long since 2010, however, the details of the illicit connection are still unclear. Together, the couple has a son. Udoka, 45, was hired by the Celtics the previous summer. Udoka worked as an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets between the years of 2012 and 2021.

Ime Udoka cheats on Nia Long for a Celtics staff, could be suspended for the whole season
The Celtics would suffer if Udoka received a lengthy suspension since they believed they had hired their coach for the present and the future. In his first season as coach, Udoka guided the Celtics to the Eastern Conference title and a spot in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. According to ESPN, Joe Mazzulla, a Celtics assistant, would be a viable candidate to take over as interim coach.

American actress Nia Long. She has won several honors, including a Black Reel Award and three NAACP Image Awards. Long’s son from a previous relationship was born in 2000. Ime Udoka, the head coach of the Boston Celtics, and she have been dating since 2010. Their kid was born in 2011. Despite the fact that Long has said she has no aspirations to get married, the pair became engaged in 2015.
