Tom Brady Throws Helmet & Tablet, Frustated First-half To Saints

In a 20-10 victory over the Saints on Sunday, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers scored all 20 of their points in the second half.

Brady, meanwhile, was visibly upset in the first half following a disappointing sequence and was seen venting his anger on team gear. The first half saw just 104 yards of passing from Brady, and the Buccaneers were behind 3-0 at the break.

Brady has previously spiked a tablet while playing against the Saints. He was witnessed launching a tablet from behind himself in 2021 while seated on the bench.
In the second half, the Buccaneers came back, tying the score in the third quarter before scoring 17 points in the fourth.

Brady has had a confusing year after retiring and then coming out of retirement. He spent some time away from the Buccaneers during training camp and has been the subject of rumours regarding his wife. Tampa Bay’s attack has been hindered by injuries as well.

What Was The Cause Of  Tom Brady’s Frustration?

Donovan Smith, the starting left tackle, and Julio Jones and Chris Godwin, the wideouts, have been out for Brady. Josh Wells, his backup left tackle, had a calf injury in the second half and was also lost to him.

Brady threw a tablet for the second time in four regular-season games against the Saints. Brady threw one interception during the Bucs’ 9-0 home loss in Week 15 of the previous season, the team’s first shutout since 2012.

Brady and the Buccaneers have struggled mightily in recent years to score against the Saints. According to ESPN’s Stats & Information analysis, the Buccaneers went 21 straight possessions against the Saints without scoring until a field goal in the third quarter.

There were other places besides the sideline where things became heated. Running back Leonard Fournette and cornerback Marshon Lattimore got into a shoving contest in the fourth quarter, and wide receivers Mike Evans and Jarvis Landry grappled on the turf. Each of Evans and Lattimore was dismissed.

Brady’s 28-yard touchdown pass to Breshad Perriman in the fourth quarter put an end to Tampa Bay’s scoring drought. After two additional offensive drives, kicker Ryan Succop added a 47-yard field goal to the score. Then, Mike Edwards picked off Jameis Winston for a pick-6 of 68 yards.

Brady’s tablet issues turned out to be unimportant in the end because the Buccaneers won 20-10.

It seems like personal problems have caused too much stress to Tom Brady that it is visible in the form of frustration in his game.
