Bobby Wagner is Already Making Huge Strides in LA, Despite Spending Just 5 Months With Los Angeles Rams
Bobby Wagner is still getting used to working alongside Sean McVay rather than against him. The 32-year-old Wagner was signed by the Rams to be the game-changing inside linebacker they have sorely missed lately.
The six-time All-Pro was also signed by the defending Super Bowl winners for the influence he will have on the team, and this was immediately evident as the Rams prepared for their first preseason game.

Almost every player wearing a horned helmet waxes poetic about Wagner‘s influence on their work habits and football knowledge, but they also eagerly anticipate his effect this season.
Bobby Wagner is among 6 captains for LA Rams
The Los Angeles Rams have chosen their team captains for the 2022 season, less than a week before the season opener against the Buffalo Bills. Few veterans are able to enter and immediately assume the position of team captain. Bobby Wagner is a rare breed of a veteran. The linebacker who spent ten years in Seattle before joining the Rams was chosen as one of the team’s six captains for 2022.

The others are quarterback Matthew Stafford, receiver Cooper Kupp, defensive lineman Aaron Donald, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and tackle Rob Havenstein. Naturally, in his second season with the Rams, Matthew Stafford is once again the team’s captain. Having six captains may seem excessive. The Rams had eight of them the previous season, with three on offense, three on defense, and two on special teams. They omitted the special teams this year.
As the Rams’ defensive signal-caller, Wagner will wear the green dot on his helmet. He has already proven himself to be a natural leader who goes above and beyond shouting out instructions by serving as a sounding board for his teammates and setting a good example each and every day during practice.
