3 Reasons why Pittsburgh Steelers have Odds in favor of winning Super Bowl 57
The Pittsburgh Steelers will start a new quarterback for the first time in 18 years, which will affect their ability to compete. However, there are some similarities between the forthcoming campaign and 2004, indicating that things may go better than anticipated. Here are the 3 reasons why they can win the Super Bowl this season:

1) Depth at quarterback
Ben Roethlisberger was hailed as the franchise quarterback when the Steelers selected him in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was third on the depth chart when training camp began, and there were no immediate intentions to start him at the center.
Later, Roethlisberger was forced into action when Charlie Batch had an injury during training camp and Tommy Maddox didn’t survive past Week 4. The Steelers must now identify a quarterback to guide them into this season because the rest is history
The Steelers’ preseason preparations are similar to that scenario. Kenny Pickett may turn out to be Pittsburgh’s future franchise quarterback, but the Steelers aren’t putting a lot of pressure on the first-round choice to contribute right away.
Like Roethlisberger, Pickett enters the season third on the Steelers’ depth chart behind presumed starter Mitchell Trubisky and fourth-year backup Mason Rudolph. There’s no timetable for when the Steelers are hoping Pickett will take over, but thankfully whoever is starting doesn’t have to be a difference-maker.
2) Offensive Weapons
The Steelers are left with several young, talented playmakers after having consistency at quarterback allowed them to produce a number of notable starters over the last couple of decades. In the last two seasons, Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool have excelled, switching off as Ben Roethlisberger’s top receiving options. Having two dynamic wide receivers on either side of the line of scrimmage will benefit Trubisky.
A major pass-catching option off the line of scrimmage and three safety blankets that even Trubisky could hit were provided by Pat Freiermuth, who also made a name for himself as an excellent tight end last season.

3) Steelers from the past
All of that, of course, ignores the factors that have contributed to the Steelers’ dominance over the last few decades: strong defense and an efficient running back.
Najee Harris’ freshman season was everything they had dreamed it would be. Last year, the Alabama product broke the 90-yard threshold six times and had three games with 100 yards or more of rushing. Harris will be expected to carry out the majority of the offense’s work because the Steelers’ quarterback situation is uncertain and he has one season under his belt. This will help the Steelers manage the clock and set the pace of the game.
