Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott Fantasy: QB NFL Data & Stats Speculations 2022
Player Outlook
2020 was a nightmare season for the Dallas Cowboys after their season ended in a 23-17 loss to the 49ers in the wild-card playoff round. Owner Jerry Jones then acted quickly and offered his star quarterback Dak Prescott, a four-year contract extension worth a whopping $160 million. The deal has $126 million of guarantees, which includes a then-NFL record $95 million fully guaranteed at signing. Prescott is the main man at Cowboys and if they are to find any success, they have to build a team around him.
Prescott is a top-10 quarterback and you should aim to draft him no later than round seven. He had a good 2021 season, but it was a bit short of the lofty expectations fans have from him. The main concern for Prescott and the offensive line for the Cowboys is that Amari Cooper is gone and Michael Gallup might not be at 100% by the time the season starts. Last year, Prescott set marks in passing touchdowns (37) and completion percentage (68.8%) while helping his team to the playoffs after a two-year absence.

Anything short of a deep playoff run will be a failure for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, which might result in huge organizational changes as Sean McCarthy faces a very strong possibility of losing his job in the next off-season. Due to the stringent salary cap, the Cowboys had to let go of veteran wideout Amari Cooper, which might force Dak Prescott to look for new avenues of attack.

His rushing stats showed 48 attempts for 146 yards and one touchdown. In fantasy leagues, Prescott was ninth among QBs in total scoring (11th in per-game scoring) which can be improved this season.
