Arizona Cardinals’ James Conner RB: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

James Conner, who had the starting position in Pittsburgh from 2018 to 2020, missed 12 games, making him a difficult player to handle in the fantasy sports market. He had a successful 2018 (with 13 games, 1,370 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 55 receptions). In PPR leagues, his performance put him in sixth place for running back scoring (282 fantasy points).

James Conner wanted to establish his superiority in his final campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals after finishing his previous season with 721 yards and six touchdowns.

With Chase Edmonds sharing the backfield, Conner still amassed over 1,000 total yards and 18 total touchdowns. Now that Edmonds has left for the Miami Dolphins, Conner has a chance to start at running back for the full season.

Conner is comparable to a first-round pick if given that job. However, owing of the impending touchdown decline, Conner may be over-drafted in Round 3 if one of the other backs fills Edmonds’ position. Any Dynasty manager who isn’t already a strong contender in 2022 will be forced to sell Conner due to his age and injury history.

Conner and other starters may once more be benched for the Cardinals’ second preseason game against the Ravens on Sunday, according to coach Kliff Kingsbury, according to Darren Urban of the team’s official website.

Conner and the majority of the other starters, along with backup running back Darrel Williams, were held out of the team’s preseason opener. Kingsbury indicated he is leaning toward a repetition of that strategy.
