Dana White Blasts PPV ‘Turd’ Jake Paul; Questions Showtime’s Decision to Put Paul vs Rahman Jr on PPV
Ever since he turned professional, Jake Paul has taken the world of combat sports by storm. ‘The Problem Child’ did a brilliant job of monetizing his massive following on YouTube and Instagram and generating a huge amount of buzz every time he steps into the octagon. However, this has come at a cost.
Paul’s brand of self-promotion involves a lot of trash talking that has seen him take shots at multiple individuals. However, one of his primary targets includes UFC President Dana White. The younger Paul brother has gone out of his way to poke fun at White multiple times, accusing him of doing drugs and cheating on his wife, among other things.
In the post-fight press conference after UFC Long Island, Dana White shared his thoughts on Paul and his upcoming fight against Hasim Rahman Jr. He said, “I mean is this still something? Is this still a thing? It isn’t to me, I could care less. He is a PPV turd. I would never say never (On letting Jake Paul compete in the UFC) but, that’s the last f**king thing on earth I am thinking about.”
White continued, “I know of him (Hasim Rahman Jr) I saw he just got knocked out by Tommy Morrisson’s son. Well, he just got knocked out. Why wouldn’t you go after the guy that knocked him out?”
Dana White blasts Showtime PPV and Jake Paul
When asked if he was shocked that the fight is taking place on Showtime PPV he said, “Ah it sounds like something the weasel would do. To be honest with you, when you think about it, you got Tyson Fury, he can’t get out of the country. What else do they have going on? What else do they have? I don’t know. I don’t know why they would do that again.”
‘The Problem Child’ did not have a very successful outing at the box office the last time out when he took on Tyron Woodley in a rematch. By the looks of it, this time around will not be any different either.
