‘I’d Smoke Diaz’- Kevin Holland Fired Up to Take On Either Nick Diaz or Nate Diaz Following Emphatic UFC Austin Win
UFC welterweight Kevin Holland made a massive splash over the weekend when he submitted Tim Means in the co-main event for UFC Austin. ‘The Trailblazer’ has been on a tear ever since he’s worked on his wrestling following some disappointing outings in the cage.
Following his standout victory, Kevin Holland called out Sean Brady for a fight, as Brady is a rising contender who has looked like a star. However, on closer introspection, Kevin Holland is keen to face off against Stockton’s finest: Nick Diaz or his younger brother Nate Diaz.
Kevin Holland wants all the smoke with the Diaz brothers
In their own way, both fights make sense since both brothers have been calling out for fights in the media. Nick Diaz is keen to skip the line and fight Kamaru Usman for the belt, while Nate Diaz is ready to take on anybody in the division if it means he can wriggle out of his UFC contract.
I’ll take anyone. He’ll take anyone. @NateDiaz209 let’s do this for everyone! @danawhite I think this moves the needle!

The UFC hasn’t been willing to fulfill Nate Diaz’s requests while Nick Diaz’s call-out is simply unrealistic. This is where Kevin Holland comes in as he’s confident he can step in and ‘smoke’ either brother.
“The Diaz fight, I’d smoke Diaz,” Holland told MMA Fighting. “Big brother, little brother, it doesn’t matter. Either Diaz brother, I’d smoke. I think Nate’s a better fighter than Nick. Either way, I’d smoke them.
“They’re over the hill, let’s be real about it. They’re both fun fights. They’re both over the hill. I mean Nate did good against Leon [Edwards] but Leon has a butter chin. It is what it is. For sure, I think me and Nate would have a fun time.” [h/t mmafighting.com]

Kevin Holland has become a major player in the welterweight division with his recent wins over Means and Alex Oliveira. Additionally, his profile continues to grow with his outstanding efforts to subvert crime in his home state of Texas.
The UFC might be looking to put on this fight, as Holland’s name value and fighting style would be a compelling treat for MMA fans to witness. Coupled with the aforementioned traits are the star power that the Diaz brothers bring to the table, making it a viable booking.
