“He’s Like a Tractor-Trailer”- Manager States ‘200 Pound’ Khabib Nurmagomedov Can Stop Israel Adesanya in Three Rounds

‘The Eagle’ Khabib Nurmagomedov might not have had the longest title reign given that he defended his belt only thrice. However, he is still considered among the best champions to have ever held a belt not just at lightweight but in the UFC period. This is mainly down to the fact that not only did ‘The Eagle’ never lose a fight in his professional career, he has officially lost only one round during his stint with the UFC

Now that ‘The Eagle’ is retired, he is spending most of his time mentoring and developing the pool of talent he has under him from Dagestan. However, his manager believes that he could make a return and win another belt if he wanted to.

In a recent interview, he said, “Khabib now weighs 200 pounds…If Khabib comes tomorrow and cuts to 185, he would stop Israel Adesanya in three rounds. I see it. He beats heavyweights, light heavyweights, welterweights, lightweights – he’s unstoppable now. He’s like a tractor-trailer.”

Abdelaziz continued, “But styles – if Khabib wants to come back and talks with Dana White and says, ‘Let me fight at middleweight,’ he will finish Israel in three rounds because the style of fights. Israel can’t stop his wrestling. He can’t stop his grappling. But striking, of course, Israel is the best striker on this planet. “He can come back and fight middleweight and become a champion today,”

Khabib Nurmagomedov to return to action?

‘The Eagle’ has categorically stated that he will not fight anymore. Furthermore, Nurmagomedov will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame next week during international fight week. 

Therefore, as always, his manager has made comments just to stir up a storm and potentially get a response out of ‘The Last Style Bender’ as he prepares for yet another title defense next week against Jared Cannonier.
