Tom Brady to act in movies after retiring from NFL? QB evaluates his acting abilities

Will Tom Brady consider acting after his NFL career?

If you are the best at their craft, why not try something new? That is quite likely the strategy Tom Brady has to take.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback can’t even decide when to retire. Fortunately, he is not undecided about his post-football career. He has already inked a $375 million contract to become the next face of the FOX commentary box. Can the GOAT be considering a career in acting?

Brady has already turned down roles in the past, most notably in the smash film Ted, before finally appearing in the sequel. And who can forget his appearances on Saturday Night Live or in pop culture icons like The Simpsons and Family Guy?

To be sure, Tom Brady is an acquired taste. Nonetheless, it’s a popular one. While Brady admires his acting abilities, there is one individual who does not. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who’s already previously criticized Brady’s acting abilities, has issued the following comment: “Baby Jesus is tap-dancing. What the f*** did they just see? What was it, Thomas? I mean, you’re resting on certain rocks, which I assume is meant to be meaningful given my name is Indeed the Rock… Did you genuinely believe that was a smart idea, Thomas?”

With the exception of Tom Brady, have any other notable quarterbacks dabbled in acting?

The journey between NFL signal maker to Hollywood starring man is anything from straightforward. While professional wrestling has shown to be a fruitful breeding place for potential Tinseltown stars, NFL players seldom find success in the acting business.

That is not to say that some have not attempted it. There have also been some elevated appearances by Hall of Famers. Dan Marino is a renowned example of this.

The Miami Dolphins icon had an unforgettable cameo in Jim Carrey’s comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. It wasn’t the start of a new career. However, it did result in minor roles in Little Nicky and Bad Boys 2.

Terry Bradshaw, a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, came before Marino. The 4 Super Bowl winner has starred in a slew of television commercials. It includes appearances in Married with Children and The Masked Singer, as well as roles in Cannonball Run, Failure to Launch, and other films.
