How are Houston Texans Spending Their Money in the NFL?

The Houston Texans are a Houston-based professional American football team. The Texans are a member of the American Football Conference South division of the National Football League, and they play their home games at NRG Stadium. The Houston Oilers, who played from 1960 until 1996 before moving to Nashville and becoming the Tennessee Titans, were the previous NFL club in the city.

The Houston Texans joined the NFL as an expansion club in 2002, making them the league’s youngest team. While the Texans struggled in their first decade, they finally broke through in 2011, capturing their first division title and securing their first postseason spot.

In 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019, the Texans won five more AFC South championships. They are the only team to never win a road playoff game and the only one to never participate in a conference championship game. Houston Texans are also one of just four NFL franchises to have never played in a Super Bowl. While the Texans have been successful in the AFC South in the NFL but have failed to make a mark in the league as a whole, we take a look at their spending in the league.

The Houston Texans have almost $35 million in dead money on their ticket for 2022, so it’s a good thing they’re rolling over some room into next season. Guaranteed money was formerly given out to players who were no longer with the Houston Texans.
