Francis Bernard is a free agent linebacker in the National Football League. He attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah for collegiate football. The Dallas Cowboys signed Bernard as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL Draft on April 27. On September 5, 2020, he was released and added to the practice squad the next day.
On October 3, he was promoted to the active roster for the team’s Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns. However, he was quickly sent to the practice squad following the game.
On October 10, he was upgraded to the active roster. He played 13 games as a reserve linebacker and had 6 tackles. Bernard was placed on injured reserve to begin the season on September 2, 2021. On November 6, he was activated.
