Justin Gaethje assesses Charles Oliveira’s threat level

Many fans and fighters consider Gaethje to be the most violent man on the UFC roster. Having more bonuses that fights, Gaethje will leave it all on the line to ensure that he walks away with the win. While he certainly considers himself the tougher opponent, he recognized that ‘Do Bronx’ is not someone to be taken lightly.

He cited Charles Oliveira’s fight against Chandler wherein he was nearly finished in round one and said that Oliveira was extremely dangerous when backed into a corner.

“His opponents really made some mistakes. Chandler I think whopped his ass in the first round, got too overconfident and that’s why the shot was so effective. He forgot how much danger he was in. If they’re awake, they’re dangerous. Someone on the brink of dying is the most dangerous, especially when they choose fight [over flight].”

“You can never take your foot of the gas and you can never be overconfident in that arena. That’s why I’m such a fan of the sport, one shot.”

If Oliveira is able to showcase his newly minted ‘never say die’ attitude against Justin Gaethje, fans will definitely take notice of his evolution. He has shown himself to be a dangerous champion with attributes that can help him become an all-time great.
