“It’s Easy Money for Jon Jones”- Henry Cejudo Dismisses Stipe Miocic as a Challenge for Jon Jones

Jon Jones has been out of action for the better part of two years now. After his win over Dominick Reyes, Jones relinquished his light heavyweight belt and stated that he would now focus on the heavyweight division.

However, his transition to heavyweight has not been smooth sailing, Jones and the UFC were involved in a very public feud for the better part of a year. To add to that, Jones found himself on the wrong side of the law last year which cast further doubts on his return to the UFC.

Fortunately for fans, it appears that Jones’ return to the UFC is now a reality. Recent reports suggest that an interim title fight between Jones and Miocic is being targeted for international fight week in July. Miocic has also received a contract for the same but at this point in time, nothing has been officially signed.

In a recent episode of his podcast with ‘The Schmo’ Henry Cejudo shared his thoughts on his pupil Jon Jones and how he will fare in a fight against Stipe Miocic. He said, “But you know what Schmo, either way, I like this fight for Jon, I really do man. Everything that Stipe has, Jon is better at.”

‘Triple C’ continued, “If he was fighting someone like a Francis Ngannou, I’d be a little more cautious with that one, just because of pure power when you have someone who has scary power like that, it’s the kind of strength that overwhelms whoever… with the Stipe fight, I like it for Jon. I think it is going to allow Jon to work on everything like mixed martial arts as whole and not sticking to one base. So at the end of the day Schmo I think it’s easy money for Jon Jones.”
