Basketball Careers of Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan, Two Sons of Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is regarded as one of the best basketball players of all time by NBA fans. In the 1990s, the Chicago Bulls legend formed an NBA dynasty with the Bulls. Jordan also assisted in the promotion of the league on a global scale, and analysts regard him as a cultural sports star.

After starting his career with the Bulls in 1984, he played 15 seasons in the NBA. You can only imagine how high the expectations would be if you opted to play basketball with Michael Jordan as your father. That’s precisely what Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan had to deal with when they decided to play a sport in which their father went on to become the all-time great.

The Bulls legend married Juanita Vanoy, his now-ex-wife, on September 2, 1989. With Juanita, he had two boys, Jeffrey and Marcus, and a daughter, Jasmine. In 2006, the couple divorced.

Did the two sons of Michael Jordan make it to the pros?

Michael Jordan has two sons, the eldest of them is Jeffrey Jordan. He was a decent basketball player as a kid, but nothing special. During his school years, Jeffrey Jordan gained a lot of media attention. Some of his high school games were shown on national television, and the media hailed him as a potential NBA great. During his undergraduate career, Jeffrey played for the University of Illinois and the University of Central Florida, but he never made it to the NBA.

Jeffrey and his younger brother Marcus led the school to the conference title and the finest season in school history during Jeffrey’s senior year. Jeffrey averaged 1.6 points, 0.8 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game at both Illinois and UCF.

Marcus Jordan, the younger Jordan, was a 6-foot-3-inch shooting guard who, like his father, was a pure shooter. Marcus switched to Whitney Young High School for his junior and senior years after Jeffrey graduated from Loyola. Due to his insistence on wearing Nike Air Jordan sneakers out of respect for his father, he led Adidas to cancel their sponsorship contract with UCF in a contentious episode in college.

Jeffrey Jordan graduated from UCF in 2012 but was unable to pursue a career in the NBA. Marcus Jordan, his younger brother, also dropped out of UCF in 2012 and never made it to the NBA. Michael Jordan’s boys, unlike their father before them, were not good enough to be drafted into the NBA.
