Texas A&M suspended senior defensive end Micheal Clemons indefinitely after he was arrested by campus police.

Clemons, 24, was arrested on charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and providing false information. He also had an outstanding warrant stemming from charges of driving with an invalid license in May 2020, according to Brazos County, Texas, jail records.

He was released on a combined $11,400 bond and paid $683 in court costs from the license case.

Clemons, a grad student, was expected to play a big role on the Aggies’ defense this season.

In 29 career games with Texas A&M, Clemons has 61 tackles (10 for loss) and 5 1/2 sacks.

The Aggies are scheduled to start the season Sept. 4 against Kent State.
