Who is a Center?
A ‘Center’ is the one player who protects the rim from the opposite team. They stop the opposition from scoring by defending their goal. Cleveland Cavaliers may not be able to make a lasting impression in the 2021 NBA season but they are having someone on the roster who did. The young talent who averaged 12.8 points and 10 rebounds per game is Jarrett Allen. He proved that he is one of the finest centers in the NBA today. I feel sad for the Brooklyn Nets who ditched Allen for James Harden. However, this player is number one on the list of 2021 NBA free agents. I don’t think the Cavaliers will easily leave him. This blocker and rebounder is going to be a big threat in the coming season.
The Los Angeles Lakers star has already made it clear that he will be looking for better prospects this coming season. Andre Drummond’s 2021 NBA season with the Lakers was not as expected. Therefore, I don’t think that the Lakers will offer him something better. I am not saying that he is better than Allen but that doesn’t make him worst. Also, a bad season cannot describe his worth. Drummond is a four-time rebounding champion who can surely benefit any team he is on. Many teams will be interested in Drummond in free agency.
One of the excellent finishers in the Sacramento Kings is Richaun Holmes. With an average of 14.2 points per game in the 2020-21 season, Holmes did a fantastic job for the Kings. Although we must admit the fact that he is an underrated player in NBA. However, the various teams and their managers are aware of his potential and as a 2021 NBA free agent, he will attract many contracts in the coming August.
Another name from the Los Angeles Lakers, who is a potential center – Montrezl Harrell. He will be looking for opting out of the Lakers as he played only 9.8 minutes per game in the postseason. Harrell has the ability to do big however, all he needs is more time on the court. Also, he is a proven regular-season player who played 22.9 minutes per game in the 2021 NBA regular season for the Lakers. His pick-and-roll is a great threat to the opposition.
Los Angeles Clippers‘ Serge Ibaka is a great talent. What concerns every team is his injury and mileage but when healthy he is a beast. The big man is known for his shot-blocking and he can even do more than that. However, I am not sure about his rebounding as compared to others on the list of 2021 NBA free agents and that is the reason I put his name at the last position. Let’s see how his prospects will be affected due to his injury.
