49ers Star Deebo Samuel Dislikes This NFL Team The Most

Deebo Samuel, a standout for the San Francisco 49ers, had some strong comments to say regarding the 2022 NFC Championship Game versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

At Lincoln Financial Field in January, the 49ers were soundly defeated 31-7, yet Samuel and his teammates think they were the superior team.

49ers winger Deebo One of the NFL’s most adaptable players is undoubtedly Samuel. While many athletes would rather let their skills shine between the lines, Samuel has never shied away from grabbing attention off the field.

The fifth-year player didn’t hesitate to declare the Eagles as his “most hated team” in an interview with Complex’s Zion Olojede.

Samuel has switched his contempt for the team from Broad Street to the Rams, who he had previously said were the team he detested the most. “I mean hey man, we done wiped the Rams so many times,” said Samuel. “All the trash talk coming from the Eagles fan base and the players, you just get tired of that. My most hated team is the Eagles right now. 100%.”

Prior to the playoffs, the 49ers’ top two quarterbacks, Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, suffered season-ending injuries.

“We lost because we played with 10 people. … All the trash talk coming from the Eagles fan base and the players, you just get tired of that,” Samuel told Complex.

However, Philadelphia defeated the 49ers 31-7 in the NFC championship game. While Eagles fans may disagree, Samuel thinks the outcome might have been different if Purdy hadn’t had a significant throwing elbow injury on the team’s first drive.

“We just gotta stay healthy, man,” Samuel said. “We stay healthy and the sky’s the limit.”

“I ain’t going to keep going on about what could’ve happened and what would’ve happened but yeah, it would’ve definitely been a different outcome,” Samuel said about the 49er injury bug.

The two most highly rated teams in the NFC are generally thought to be San Francisco and Philadelphia. If nothing unexpected happens, they should play again in the conference championship game in January.
