49ers’ Arik Armstead Accuses Lions Player Of Racist Remarks

Arik Armstead Accusations On Lions Players

A shocking statement was made on social media on Monday by San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead after Detroit Lions centre Dan Skipper gained notoriety for winning the game ball during the team’s victory over the Washington Commanders.

On Sunday, Skipper got his first professional start. He has been in the league since 2017 with the Lions and Houston Texans, and he has frequently switched between active rosters and followed teams to the free agent market. His emotions caused a brief social media moment to go viral.

However, Armstead threw cold water on the second when he asserted that Skipper used racial slurs in video games.

“So, are we now supporting racists? Referred to as the “N term” by certain video game players. On his Instagram Tales, Armstead described the ER as “onerous.”

NFL reporter Dov Kleiman noticed the complaint on social media before it vanished

The circumstances behind the reportedly racist remarks, as well as Armstead’s justification, are unknown.
Armstead played his entire career for the 49ers, who Skipper never faced in a regular-season game. Between 2017 and 2022, there was no preseason matchup between the two teams.

In his professional career, Skipper has played in 25 games. He has been restricted to special teams for the majority of his career, and Sunday was the ninth time in his career that he took a snap on the offensive side of the football.

While Skipper was an NFL player, the Lions and 49ers faced off twice during the regular season.

Armstead made a very serious accusation, one that would be difficult to substantiate absent additional players stepping forward to back him up.

In addition, the 49ers earned their first victory of the year by defeating the Seattle Seahawks 27-7 at home. This year’s regular season doesn’t feature a matchup between the Lions and 49ers.
