3 Important Fantasy Football Tips For Your Drafts
With everybody’s fantasy football drafts coming up, it is important that you know what you are doing early so you don’t fall behind your league-mates on draft night. Make Sure to take these 3 major tips into account before the big night.
1.) The ‘Zero RB method is ideal for 2023
If you don’t know what the Zero RB method is in fantasy football, let me explain. The Zero RB method is when you refrain from drafting running backs early in the draft. Usually RBs are the most valuable position in fantasy football, but this year you are able to get some quality running backs in later rounds without drafting them in the first 2 or 3 rounds. 2 running backs that I absolutely love this year are Dameon Pierce and Khalil Herbert, both are 2 RBs i would feel more than comfortable starting on my team. I also would pivot from the Zero RB method if a player like Aaron Jones falls to you in the 3rd round, there is just too much value there to pass up on. players that i would target however through the first rounds if we are doing the zero RB method is, Ceedee Lamb in the first, AJ Brown in the second and TJ Hockenson in the 3rd. These 3 guys would be my ideal 3 starters if I was drafting from the 1.11 in a 12 man full PPR league.
The bottom line is, you should be able to grab quality running backs in the 4th and 5th round of your fantasy football leagues. However you will not find Quality WRs by that point in the draft. So it is ideal to come away with 2 or 3 pass catchers from the first 3 rounds of your draft and in rounds 3 through 5, target running backs.

2.) DO NOT take a QB early in your draft
With quality WRs in small demand it makes no sense to take a quarterback in the first 4 rounds of your draft. If you take a QB you will be missing out on a limited supply of “league winning” player. Instead take a QB in rounds 6 through 8 where you can walk away with a Geno Smith, Jared Goff or Aaron Rodgers. Smith finished as the QB5 last year in fantasy football last year and his system has only gotten better while somehow being the QB11 this year. If you walk away with Geno, Goff or Rodgers as well as 3 WRs and 2 RBs from the first 5 rounds you are in prime position to win your leagues.
Geno Smith broke the Seahawks' franchise record for most single-season passing yards (4,282) in 2022.
He also was #1 in the NFL in passing completion % at 69.8%.

3.) Take TE earlier than you would usually take one
league winning tight ends are in short supply every year, but this year it seems shorter than ever. Their are only a couple of TEs you can truly count on, those being Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, TJ Hockenson, and a couple of others. if you are picking late in the first round and Travis Kelce falls to you take him, because you will probably be able to get Stefon Diggs when your pick comes up again. If you don’t feel comfortable taking a TE in the first 2 rounds and you want to walk away with 2 WRs, make sure to take one in the 3rd if you don’t take a running back, and if you have both of your RBs by the 5th round, take a TE like Dallas Goedert or Evan Engram.
