2X Super Bowl Champion Peyton Manning’s ‘Blind Side’ Parody Resurfaces After 23 Years
When Peyton Manning and Seth Myers created a parody trailer about the 2009 hit movie “The Blind Side” for the ESPYs in 2010, they obviously knew something that the rest of us didn’t.
The video has reappeared now, thirteen years later. Furthermore, it has turned out to be more accurate than anyone could have possibly imagined.
In the joke, Manning takes the place of Ole Miss and NFL lineman Michael Oher, who is the major focus of the movie.
Totally forgot about this "The Blind Side" spoof with Peyton Manning until just now. Even better today. pic.twitter.com/niqsNhJqk8

The black Mississippi family that adopted and raised Oher out of poverty is the subject of the movie. Then, the family introduces Oher to football, where he excels right away and receives numerous scholarships.
Ultimately, he decides for Ole Miss, which both of his adoptive parents attended.

In Manning’s telling of the tale, he assumes the persona of Oher and describes events as if Oher’s adoptive parents kidnapped him and forbade him from returning home.
A stunningly accurate parody of Peyton Manning’s blindside

A wise man named Mort Crim, a former broadcast journalist, once stated that “any good parody takes a grain of truth and exaggerates it for the big screen.”
In the end, Manning didn’t really need to exaggerate that much.
According to Michael A. Fletcher of ESPN, Oher recently submitted a petition to a Tennessee court claiming “alleges that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, who took Oher into their home as a high school student, never adopted him. Instead, less than three months after Oher turned 18 in 2004, the petition says, the couple tricked him into signing a document making them his conservators, which gave them legal authority to make business deals in his name.”
