2023 Men’s Frozen Four Regionals: Schedule, Dates, Venue, Bracket, Channel, Teams & History

Let’s not overlook our buddies on the ice when March Madness and the 2023 NCAA basketball tournament are in the headlines. This week, when Frozen Four regionals get underway, the 2023 NCAA hockey tournament is supposed to start. Here, we’ll discuss the teams who are favourites as well as offer bracket updates and tournament results.

Each region’s top seeding range from 1 to 4, with Minnesota being the top seed overall. The remaining teams in the field are Quinnipiac (2), Michigan (3), and Colorado (4). On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Gophers are the betting favourites to win the tournament at +250, while Michigan sits at +350. In the Big Ten tournament championship game between those two teams, the Wolverines prevailed 4-3.

When are the 2023 NCAA Frozen Four regionals?

  • Start: Thursday, March 23
  • End: Sunday, March 26

The NCAA tournament regionals get underway on March 23 and last through March 26.

Depending on the area, the regional semifinal games will either take place on Thursday, March 23, and the regional final will start on Saturday, March 25, or the semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 24, and the final will begin on Sunday, March 26.

When is the 2023 NCAA Frozen Four?

  • Start: Thursday, April 6
  • End: Saturday, April 8

The Frozen Four will begin two weeks after the regionals conclude.

The two national semifinals will take place Thursday, April 6, followed by the national championship on Saturday, April 8.

Where are the 2023 Frozen Four regionals?

For the NCAA hockey tournament in 2023, there are four regions.

At SNHU Arena, games are hosted in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was once the home of the Manchester Monarchs, a former AHL/ECHL team.

The Fargo Force of the USHL will play its home games at Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota.

At Total Mortgage Arena in the Bridgeport, Connecticut area, teams will compete. The AHL’s Bridgeport Islanders, the Islanders’ minor league club, are housed there.

Ultimately, the four clubs from that area will compete in the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The minor league affiliate of the Flyers, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, call it home.
