Aleksej Pokusevski To Miss Significant Time
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (leg) is set to miss significant time after suffering an injury during Tuesday's game. The young forward sustained a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg. The team plans to re-evaluate Pokusevski in six-to-eight weeks. This is a tough blow to fantasy managers as Pokusevski probably won't return until closer to the fantasy playoffs. Mike Muscala and Darius Bazley are set to have increased roles with Pokusevski on the sideline. It'll be interesting to see how head coach Mark Daigneault changes his rotation in the absence of Pokusevski.

Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) injured his left ankle during Friday's loss to Memphis. The 20-year-old was having a fantastic night before his premature exit, scoring 10 points and blocking three shots in only 14 minutes of action. Pokusevski has played well this season, averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 13 games, so fantasy managers are hoping he doesn't miss time. However, if he does, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who had 14 points and seven boards, should receive extra work moving ahead.

He missed the last two games due to shoulder bursitis in his shooting arm. Now, with him back in the starting lineup, Darius Bazley and Mike Muscala will lose some minutes and opportunities. Pokusevski is only someone that should be rostered in dynasty leagues or deeper leagues anyway. The seven-footer is only putting up 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest.

Pokusevski, a first-round pick in 2020, has averaged 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the last two seasons. He's still a work in progress, especially on the shooting end from deep, so fantasy managers won't receive routine production from him. However, after Chet Holmgren (foot) was lost for the year, Pokusevski's path to the starting lineup may have opened, giving him some upside in deeper formats.
