RJ Barrett Will Make His Return Against Pacers
New York Knicks guard/forward RJ Barrett (finger) will play and start Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers. Barrett is reportedly available with no minutes limit after injuring his finger on December 27th. With his return, either Quentin Grimes or Immanuel Quickley will return to the bench and see a hit in fantasy value. Given the nature of hand injuries, Barrett may take awhile to get his shot back and could see some poor shooting days ahead.

The 22-year-old was listed as doubtful, so there was a little hope he'd return for this game. Sadly, he'll miss his sixth game in a row as he continues to work his way back from a right index finger laceration. In his absence, Immanuel Quickley will continue playing big minutes in the rotation. He'll be a great streaming option until Barrett gets back on the court.

He has missed the last four consecutive games with the same injury and will officially miss a fifth. Immanuel Quickley has entered the starting lineup and he's only rostered in 59 percent of leagues at the moment. After him, another streaming option could be either Miles McBride or Evan Fournier. Both of them have received some more playing time, but they're harder to predict since their opportunities fluctuate.

The fact that the team listed him out again this far in advance shows that the laceration is still pretty significant. Over the last couple of games, Immanuel Quickley and Miles McBride have entered the starting lineup since Jalen Brunson has been out as well. Quickley and McBride are solid streaming options as long as Barrett is sidelined.

New York Knicks forward RJ Barrett agreed to a four-year, $107 million extension with the team on Tuesday. With incentives, he could earn as much as $120 million. Last season, the 22-year-old averaged a career-high 20.0 points while adding 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Barrett's new deal is somewhat surprising, primarily since the Jazz had expressed interest in him during trade discussions surrounding superstar guard Donovan Mitchell. Although a move may still happen down the line, the extension will certainly make things challenging. Nevertheless, the 2019 No. 3 overall can be a viable fantasy option no matter where he's suiting up. However, his lack of consistency has been a burden for fantasy managers. His three-point shooting has improved, but there is also work to be done in that area as well.
