Thomas Bryant Gets Injured Late On Friday

Los Angeles Lakers center Thomas Bryant suffered a shoulder injury late in Friday's 134-130 loss to Charlotte. While going up for a shot, Bryant was hit on his right arm by Charlotte's Mason Plumlee and he left the court in pain after logging 33 minutes of action. The 25-year-old had eight points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the contest. Bryant is now under evaluation to determine the severity of the injury. The team will be desperate to get some good news, as frontcourt depth will become an issue if Bryant gets sidelined. He has been filling in for Anthony Davis (foot) lately, posting some solid numbers. Wenyen Gabriel would be the next man up at the center position if Bryant misses time.

Thomas Bryant Has No Timetable For Return

Los Angeles Lakers center Thomas Bryant (thumb) was re-evaluated on Wednesday after undergoing surgery earlier in the year. It sounds like Bryant is progressing, but has no timetable for his return. Head coach Darvin Ham is still "a ways out" from returning to the court. It's going to take time for Bryant to ramp up his activities once he is clear to get back on the court. Fantasy managers shouldn't bother stashing Bryant at the moment. Anthony Davis is going to see a majority of the playing time at center with Damian Jones getting the backup minutes.

Thomas Bryant Will Miss Season Opener

Los Angeles Lakers center Thomas Bryant (thumb) won't suit up for the season opener on Tuesday. The injuries continue to pile up for Bryant, which is a real shame. The 25-year-old does have potential, but his career has been derailed by injuries. Hopefully, Bryant won't miss much time from this thumb sprain. In the meantime, Damian Jones is expected to back up Anthony Davis during Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Jones won't have much streaming value with Davis soaking up a majority of the playing time.
