Jaylen Brown Remains Out Monday
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (adductor) will not play Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Brown continues to deal with some lingering soreness and will miss his third straight game. With Brown out, the rest of the starters will likely see the biggest impact with Jayson Tatum leading the way on offense. Malcolm Brogdon may see a few more opportunities as the first man off the bench.

Boston Celtic guard Jaylen Brown (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The star guard will sit this game out after dropping 41 points on Wednesday. Head coach Joe Mazzulla mentioned that Brown could be sidelined for a week or two. That is not good news for the Celtics, but it's possible he doesn't miss that much time. The Celtics will start Marcus Smart in Brown's spot during Thursday's game. He'll get a significant boost in fantasy value while Brown is out.

Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (groin) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Nets. Brown had a superb night Wednesday against New Orleans with a season-high 41 points and 12 rebounds, but he revealed after the game that he also tweaked his groin in the contest. Jayson Tatum would be a usage monster with Brown out of the lineup Thursday, with Malcolm Brogdon and Sam Hauser having an opportunity to pick up extra minutes. Tatum has played just twice without Brown this season, which is a very small sample size, but he totaled 78 points across the games and would clearly be the main man again.

Averaging 40.4 fantasy points in his last five games, Brown provides the Celtics with a plethora of production. Above all of his contributions, Brown's defensive performances keep the Celtics as a championship contender. Only time will tell if the Celtics play it safe minutes-wise with Brown. Nonetheless, having him active in your fantasy lineup will only help your chances of winning.

Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (neck) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup versus Miami. He sat out Monday's games against Charlotte with neck stiffness and could now miss a second consecutive game. Grant Williams entered the starting unit versus the Hornets and should remain there if Brown stays out. Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart carried the offense with Brown missing, and Malcolm Brogdon had one of his best games of the season with 21 points, five rebounds and six assists. All three look great DFS options for the night if Brown isn't available.

Considering he logged 34 minutes against Denver on Friday night, there's a good chance he won't be available. With Al Horford (back) and Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) out, Jayson Tatum figures to see a significant increase in usage and production. Marcus Smart should also benefit from a rise in scoring chances if Brown isn't in the lineup, while Luke Kornet, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard may become attractive DFS value options.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown wants to remain with the team. Although the franchise enjoyed a trip to the NBA Finals with the 25-year-old on the roster, he could be traded if it meant landing Nets superstar Kevin Durant. Still, the C's aren't actively shopping Brown, so if a deal with Brooklyn doesn't come to fruition, he would almost be guaranteed to stay in Boston. It's clear Jayson Tatum is the primary offensive option for the Celtics. However, Brown has been fantastic over the years, averaging at least 20 points in each of the last three seasons. His statistical contributions may rise if he is dealt to Brooklyn, especially on the scoring end, even more so if Kyrie Irving is also moved. Yet, his health needs to improve regardless of who signs his checks moving ahead, as he has played 58 games or less in two of his previous three seasons.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown was reportedly included in a proposed trade package to Brooklyn for superstar forward Kevin Durant, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The C's also incorporated Derrick White and an undisclosed draft pick. However, the Nets declined the offer and requested Marcus Smart be added in White's place instead. Brown has been one of the league's up-and-coming players over the years, and he finished the 2021-22 campaign by averaging 23.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals. Those numbers should increase if the 25-year-old moves away from Jayson Tatum and takes over a team of his own. But he'll need to figure out how to stay healthy, regardless of where he suits up, primarily since he logged less than 58 games in two of the last three seasons. His shooting from deep could also use some work. Still, Brown has plenty of untapped potential and has a chance of entering the MVP conversation at some point in his career.
