Red Sox Claim Caleb Hamilton Off Waivers
The Boston Red Sox claimed catcher Caleb Hamilton off waivers from the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. The 27-year-old made his Major League debut for the Twins this past season, logging 23 plate appearances and hitting .056 with a .222 on-base percentage and a home run. He'll give the Red Sox some additional depth behind the plate. In addition to Hamilton, Boston's other catching options on the 40-man roster include Ronaldo Hernandez, Connor Wong, and Reese McGuire.
