David Peterson Starting Second Game Of Doubleheader
New York Mets left-hander David Peterson has been called up as the 27th man on Saturday for the team's doubleheader against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies. Peterson will make the start in Game 2. The 26-year-old southpaw has been solid in 18 appearances for New York this year, going 6-2 with a 3.30 ERA (4.01 FIP), a 1.28 WHIP and a 91:38 K:BB in 79 innings pitched. Fourteen of his 18 outings have been starts for the Mets, with his last spot start coming on Aug. 6 against the Atlanta Braves when he allowed no earned runs on three hits while walking three and fanning five in 5 1/3 frames. Peterson isn't a bad fantasy streamer on Saturday.
