Blue Jays Activate Tim Mayza From Injured List
The Toronto Blue Jays activated reliever Tim Mayza (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday. The veteran reliever has made 41 appearances this season for the Blue Jays and has been a quality option for fantasy managers in leagues where holds are part of the scoring. The left-hander has pitched to a 2.88 ERA and a 3.93 FIP in 34.1 innings. He's also registered 27 strikeouts while walking just nine batters. Elsewhere, he's accumulated five wins and 11 holds. Toronto optioned fellow reliever Zach Pop to Triple-A to make room on the active roster for Mayza.
