Paul Blackburn Transferred To The 60-Day Injured List
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Paul Blackburn (finger) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list. The A's needed to clear a spot on their 40-man roster after claiming right-hander pitcher Joel Payamps off waivers from Kansas City. Blackburn, who made the AL All-Star team earlier this season, will remain out for the rest of the season and can be dropped in season-long fantasy leagues. He finishes the year with a 4.28 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 89:30 K/BB ratio over 111 1/3 innings (21 starts).
