Reds Sign Silvino Bracho To Minor-League Deal
The Cincinnati Reds signed right-hander Silvino Bracho to a minor-league deal on Thursday with an invitation to major-league spring training. Bracho appeared in the big leagues in 2022 for the first time in two years, giving up three earned runs on three hits while walking one and striking out four in only 4 1/3 relief innings over three outings for the Atlanta Braves. The 30-year-old also pitched in the minors for the Boston Red Sox and had a 2.83 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 70 strikeouts in 57 1/3 innings over 38 appearances (five starts) for Triple-A Gwinnett and Triple-A Worcester. In 94 relief innings at the big-league level over six seasons, Bracho has a 4.88 ERA (5.03 FIP), a 1.29 WHIP, one save and 98 strikeouts.
