The Mets became involved in talks with Correa after a similar agreement between him and the San Francisco Giants fell through due to injury concerns. The 28-year-old opted out of his three-year, $105.3 million contract with the Twins at the end of the 2022 season and declined the 10-year, $285 million offer they made this offseason. Correa will be a fantasy asset regardless of where he signs, but his landing spot is still very much up in the air.
