Jacob deGrom Signs Five-Year Deal With Rangers
The Texas Rangers have signed right-hander Jacob deGrom to a five-year, $185 million deal on Friday, according to sources. His physical is passed and the deal is done. The contract includes a conditional sixth-year option that would take the total deal to $222 million, and it includes a full no-trade clause. Despite dealing with plenty of injuries over the last several years, deGrom priced him out of New York Mets owner Steve Cohen's range this offseason.
