A's announce 1-year deal with RHP Trevor May
The Oakland A's agreed to a one-year contract Friday with right-handed reliever Trevor May. Terms were not disclosed, but ESPN said it was a $7 million deal with a $1 million signing bonus and up to $500,000 in performance bonuses. May, 33, was 2-0 with a 5.04 ERA and one save in 26 relief appearances for the New York Mets in 2022. He is 32-24 with a 4.35 ERA and 12 saves in 309 games (26 starts) over eight seasons with the Minnesota Twins (2014-16, 2018-20) and Mets. He has struck out 480 batters in 403 2/3 innings. --Field Level Media
