X-rays on New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino's foot came back negative on Friday night, according to manager Aaron Boone. "He got through the inning catching, and then he was pretty beat up, so I didn't want to push him. So, we'll just see what we have moving forward," Boone said. Trevino was hit on the foot by a fastball on Friday against the Oakland Athletics, but he appears to have dodged a bullet and should be considered day-to-day. Expect Kyle Higashioka to get the start behind the plate on Saturday against Oakland. Before he was shut down, the 28-year-old was hitting .256/.303/.370 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 35 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 72 games for the St. Louis Cardinals. The speedster should be an upgrade over Aaron Hicks once he's healthy, and he's a major stolen base asset in fantasy, although it remains to be seen how much he'll run once he's back.

Estevan Florial, who has just one hit in 20 at-bats in seven games, could be in danger of being sent back to the minors when Stanton returns.

New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson (illness) is back at third base and is hitting fifth on Monday for the opener of the series against the New York Mets and right-hander Max Scherzer. Donaldson missed the last two games with a stomach issue, but he'll be back in there on Monday night. The 36-year-old is looking for his fifth straight game with a hit, but he's batting just .223/.305/.388 on the season with 12 home runs, 47 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases in 358 at-bats. In 17 career at-bats against Scherzer, Donaldson is hitting .176 with no home runs or RBI. In DFS formats, it would probably be wise to ignore the veteran third baseman.
