| | Carolina Panthers defensive back Brian Burns is unlikely to be on the trade block, according to Ian Rapoport. The Panthers appear to be willing to trade off some of their players including star running back Christian McCaffrey. However, it doesn't sound like Burns is going to be available. The 24-year-old is viewed as one of the building blocks for the future in Carolina. Through five games, Burns has 21 tackles, four sacks, and one pass defended this season. The Panthers are looking to make moves, but aren't going to trade away all their young assets. |
| | Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is reportedly on the trade block. The organization has decided to go into rebuild mode and are listening to offers on their superstar back. However, the Panthers want multiple first-round picks in exchange for their prime trade assets, which includes McCaffrey. The oft-injured McCaffrey is a stud when healthy, but keeping him on the field has been a nearly impossible task. It's hard to imagine any team giving up multiple first rounders for McCaffrey right now. Possibly, the Panthers will lower their asking price. Otherwise, it's likely that McCaffrey remains in Carolina for awhile. |
| | Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robbie Anderson (illness) is officially active for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. He had been listed as questionable after missing practice on Friday. While Anderson's production could actually increase with P.J. Walker at quarterback this week, he's still not on the fantasy football radar. |
| | Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) is officially inactive against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6. This comes as no surprise considering he had been listed as doubtful. P.J. Walker will start in his place. Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore are the only Carolina players with legitimate fantasy relevance this Sunday. |
| | Carolina Panthers linebacker Cory Littleton (groin) will not return to Sunday's matchup against the Rams. He's dealing with a groin issue, and it adds to what has already been a forgettable game for the Panthers. The 28-year-old finished with 10 total tackles (six solo) while also sharing a sack with defensive tackle Derrick Brown. Nonetheless, with Carolina seemingly in tank mode, Littleton may not be rushed back anytime soon, much to the dismay of IDP managers. |
| | Carolina Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker (neck) didn't return to the Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The signal-caller took a shot to the head and was evaluated for a concussion. However, a neck injury kept him out, resulting in Jacob Eason replacing him. Walker, starting for the injured Baker Mayfield (ankle), finished the day with only 60 yards off 10-for-16 passing. There should be an update on Walker's condition moving ahead, but there appears to be a chance Eason will be under center for Week 7 against the Buccaneers. |
