TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (knee) suffered a left knee sprain in the Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns, but he won't require surgery. Freiermuth was quickly ruled out, but he should be fine for next season after the Steelers were eliminated from postseason contention when the Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets. There's a chance that the 24-year-old won't be ready for offseason workouts in the spring, but as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks, he should be good to go for training camp in the summer. In his second NFL season, Freiermuth had 63 receptions on 98 targets for 732 yards and two touchdowns. He bested his rookie marks in catches and receiving yards, but his TD production was a disappointment after he found the end zone seven times in his rookie season.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (knee) exited Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns and was quickly ruled out. He finishes the day with zero catches on two targets. Connor Heyward and Zach Gentry should see more snaps at tight end in Freiermuth's absence.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) missed Wednesday's practice with a hip injury. He has been dealing with multiple injuries over the last few weeks but has yet to miss a game. The 26-year-old will look to practice later this week. Johnson has caught 84 of 137 targets for 844 yards over 16 games in 2022. He has yet to find the end zone this season after scoring eight touchdowns in 2021. Johnson will look to score his first touchdown against the Browns in the regular season finale. The former third-round pick faces a Browns defense that ranks ninth in DVOA versus opposing WR1s and is mid-range WR3 in fantasy for Week 18.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) was a full participant in practice on Thursday after he was held out of Wednesday's session. In a must-win game in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Cleveland Browns, Johnson should be on the field and available to fantasy managers still playing for a championship. The 26-year-old has had a disappointing campaign with a combination of rookie Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky playing quarterback, as he still is without a touchdown catch through 17 weeks. He has also failed to crack 100 yards receiving in a single game, making him more of a WR3/flex this year. Johnson caught eight of his 11 targets for 74 yards in the first meeting against the Browns in Week 3.
Sunday, January 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (toe) has been upgraded to questionable for the Week 17 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The former third round pick is dealing with a toe issue, but has played in every game since Week 10. The expectation is that he'll be able to suit up for this contest. That is good news as Ogunjobi will be a key factor in attempting to slow down the Ravens running game. He has 43 tackles, six tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks through 14 games this season.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) was a full participant in practice on Thursday after he was limited on Wednesday. Johnson is fully expected to be able to play on Sunday night against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens. While the fourth-year wideout has been a big disappointment with no touchdowns so far in 2022, he has been better of late, catching 21 of his 25 targets for 244 yards. One of those games came in the first meeting against Baltimore in Week 14, when he caught six of eight targets for 82 yards. The Ravens defense has been a great matchup for opposing wideouts, so fantasy managers should consider the 26-year-old a WR3/flex with upside in championship matchups this week.
Thursday, December 29
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. After a five-reception, 64-yard performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16, the 26-year-old is starting off Week 17 on the injury report. However, this is not a development to panic over, as Johnson had a similar designation last week and ended up playing. Monitor his status, but the fourth-year receiver appears to be on the right track for Week 17. Consider him a WR3 against Baltimore.
Thursday, December 22
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) is listed as questionable for the Week 16 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Mike Tomlin said that Johnson would be rested in practice this week. That being said, it makes sense why Johnson didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday. It sounds like Johnson is planning on playing, but probably won't be 100 percent healthy. He should be in the WR3 conversation for the upcoming Saturday matchup with the Raiders.
Tuesday, December 20
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (head) had cleared the league's concussion protocol and is in line to start in Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Eve on Saturday. Pickett missed the Week 15 win over the Carolina Panthers after suffering his second concussion of the year the previous week. But apparently he's cleared the protocols and will start this weekend, barring a setback at practice this week. The 24-year-old's return should be good news for tight end Pat Freiermuth, who didn't see a single target on Sunday, but it could be bad news for receiver Diontae Johnson, who had his best game of the year in Week 15 with Mitch Trubisky under center. Pickett, as expected, has been up and down in his rookie year, throwing for 1,797 yards, four touchdowns and eight picks in 10 games. He'll have some decent QB2 upside in a nice matchup against the Raiders on Saturday night. UPDATE: Pickett would have practiced in full on Tuesday if the Steelers had actually practiced, a clear indication that he's in line to start Saturday evening.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) is dealing with turf toe, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. However, Tomlin said he doesn't expect Johnson's injury to extend into the latter part of the week for the team's Christmas Eve game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday night. Johnson played last week's win over the Carolina Panthers with the toe injury and had a season-high 10 receptions for a season-high 98 yards, but he still has yet to find the end zone in 2022. It also came with Mitch Trubisky under center, and rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) is expected to return this week after a one-game absence. Johnson should play in Week 16 and he should continue to be a WR3/flex for fantasy managers in a good matchup against Vegas.
Saturday, December 17
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) has officially been ruled out for a Week 15 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Pickett was listed as doubtful on Friday after practicing in a limited fashion all week but was ultimately unable to clear the league's concussion protocol in time to suit up on Sunday. Mitch Trubisky is expected to draw the start in place of Pickett, which will make it difficult to trust any of the Steelers' offensive weapons. Trubisky threw for 276 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in relief of Pickett against the Ravens last week.
Friday, December 16
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot) missed a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Despite missing practice on Wednesday, Freiermuth said that he still expected to play in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. However, with two DNPs now under his belt, his status is certainly worth watching this weekend. Freiermuth has been a must-start TE1 in fantasy this year when healthy, as he comes into Week 15 as the TE5 in half-point PPR scoring with 53 receptions, 630 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. He caught three of his six targets for 33 yards and his second TD of the year in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. If he ends up not playing, Zach Gentry would be afforded more playing time as Pittsburgh's No. 1 tight end.
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) was limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Pickett remains in the league's concussion protocol after his second concussion of his first NFL season. The Steelers haven't announced a starter for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, so everything remains on the table, including Mason Rudolph getting his first start of the year over Mitch Trubisky if Pickett isn't cleared. Rudolph split first-team repetitions on Wednesday with Pickett being limited to individual drills. Whoever starts will be facing a Panthers defense that has been in the middle of the pack in 2022 in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to opposing QBs. Pickett hasn't gone over 200 passing yards in a game since Week 11 and has a 4:8 touchdown-to-interception rate in his first 10 NFL games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are listing rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) as doubtful for the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and the team plans to announce their starting QB on Saturday. Pickett was a "partial participant" in practice on Friday, and they'll get concussion-protocol clarity on Saturday. Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph split first-team repetitions in practice this week with Pickett limited, and there appears to be a real sentiment among Steelers beat writers that Rudolph could get the nod under center over Trubisky after he came on in relief of Pickett last week to toss three interceptions. Rudolph hasn't played at all in 2022, but he could represent an upgrade over Trubisky at this point.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (hip) practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and was removed from the final Week 15 injury report. He's good to go for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. There was some concern when he didn't practice on Wednesday, but the Steelers were likely resting their lead back. The 24-year-old has dealt with foot, oblique and hip injuries this year, but he hasn't missed any games. In 13 games played, he has 187 carries for 704 yards and five touchdowns, adding 32 receptions for 165 yards and two more scores. It's been a big step back from when he led the NFL in total touches in his rookie season in 2021, but Harris has been better of late, scoring four rushing TDs in the last four games. Harris will be firmly in the RB2 mix this weekend against a vulnerable Panthers run D.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) and tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot) were both limited in Friday's practice and won't carry an injury designation into the Week 15 contest against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) is doubtful to play this weekend, so Johnson and Freiermuth will be catching passes from either Mitch Trubisky or Mason Rudolph. Johnson has been absolutely frustrating from a fantasy perspective in 2022, and he's still looking for his first touchdown after finding the end zone 20 times in his first three seasons. He's become a low-upside WR3 for fantasy managers. Freiermuth has been a TE1 all year long in his second NFL season at fantasy's thinnest position. Keep him in your starting lineups against Carolina.
Thursday, December 15
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (hip) was held out of practice on Wednesday with a hip ailment. It seems to always be something with Harris. The 24-year-old had previously been dealing with an oblique injury, but now he's listed with a hip injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. Harris played 56 percent of the offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and finished with 12 carries for 33 yards and one touchdown, adding two catches for 17 yards. The second-year back has been a huge disappointment in 2022, but he has scored four times on the ground in the last four games. If Harris is limited or out in Week 15, rookie Jaylen Warren would likely serve as Pittsburgh's lead ball-carrier.
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. As a result, third-stringer Mason Rudolph said he split the first-team repetitions with Mitch Trubisky, as head coach Mike Tomlin indicated they would if Pickett didn't practice in full. It's good news that Pickett is doing anything at all after suffering a concussion in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but he's not out of the woods yet. And if he ultimately isn't cleared to play in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers, there's a chance that the Steelers go with Rudolph under center over Trubisky. Keep in mind that this is Pickett's second time in the concussion protocol in his first NFL season.
Wednesday, December 14
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Chris Wormley (knee) tore his ACL in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and is out for the rest of the season, according to a source. Head coach Mike Tomlin called the injury "significant." Because it's such a significant injury, there's a chance that Wormley isn't ready to go for training camp or the start of the 2023 season. The 29-year-old finishes his third season in Pittsburgh with 29 tackles (13 solo), three tackles for loss, half a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 13 games (one start). In his absence the rest of the way, Isaiahh Loudermilk and DeMarvin Leal will see more playing time along the defensive line.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot) said that he hurt his foot on his first catch in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday when he got rolled up on. Freiermuth didn't practice on Wednesday, but he expects to be able to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. The 24-year-old caught three of his six targets for 33 yards and his second touchdown of the season last week while injured. Freiermuth checks in as the TE5 on the year in half-point PPR setups with 53 catches on 82 targets for 630 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his touchdown catches in 2022 have been thrown by quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who could make the start against the Panthers on Sunday if rookie Kenny Pickett can't clear the concussion protocol.
Tuesday, December 13
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (head) entered the league's concussion protocol in Week 14 in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens and didn't return to the contest. "After the first series, he was evaluated and cleared," head coach Mike Tomlin said. Tomlin also said that Pickett was continually evaluated afterward, and after the next series it was determined that he could not continue. The NFL isn't taking any chances with head injuries this year, so it's not a surprise that Pickett didn't return. The 24-year-old will have to pass through the protocol this week in order to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. If he isn't cleared, Mitch Trubisky will make the start on Sunday. In his first action since Week 6, Trubisky went 22-for-30 for 276 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in relief of Pickett.
Sunday, December 11
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Matthew Wright has been released ahead of the team's Week 14 game versus the Baltimore Ravens. The move coincides with the return of Chris Boswell, who was activated from IR on Saturday. Wright spent two games with the Chiefs earlier this season before latching on with Pittsburgh for the last four weeks. He has posted solid results in 2022, converting all 15 of his extra points while going 15-for-18 on field goals. Going forward, he should be viewed as a priority free agent if any team loses its kicker to injury or poor performance.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett exited Sunday's game versus the Baltimore Ravens and was taken to the locker room for medical attention. Mitch Trubisky entered the game in his place. It's an interesting development out of Pittsburgh considering Pickett was evaluated for a concussion but cleared protocol and quickly returned to the game. Moments later, he exited for a second time. It remains to be seen if he will return. So far, he has gone 0-for-1 passing with 16 rushing yards and one sack.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion protocol) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus the Baltimore Ravens. Mitch Trubisky entered in his place. It's an interesting development out of Pittsburgh considering Pickett initially exited, cleared concussion protocol, returned to the game, and then quickly exited again. This time, he has been ruled out. He finishes 0-for-1 passing with 16 rushing yards and one sack.
Saturday, December 10
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) has been removed from the team's final injury report and is set to play in a Week 14 divisional showdown with the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson logged two limited practices this week and was initially listed as questionable with a hip injury. The fourth-year man is yet to catch a touchdown this season and has been disappointing for fantasy purposes, but will get a good matchup against a Ravens defense that is allowing the sixth-most PPR fantasy points to wideouts in 2022. Johnson saw 11 targets last week and should continue to be the primary option for rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, making him worthy of flex consideration on Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs) has been removed from the team's final injury report and will suit up for a Week 14 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Watt was initially listed as questionable with a rib injury but has been upgraded after logging two limited practices this week. It goes without saying that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year's presence improves the outlook of the Steelers' defense on Sunday. He will look to make things difficult for Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley, who is in line to make his first start of the season in place of an injured Lamar Jackson (knee).
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell (groin) has been officially activated from the injured reserve on Saturday. The 31-year-old kicker is set to return after being out since Week 7 with a groin injury. The organization has released fellow kicker Matthew Wright in a corresponding move. Before going down, Boswell made 12-of-16 field goal attempts and all nine extra point attempts. He should be a low-end streaming option for the upcoming matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Friday, December 09
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) will play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14, as he was removed from the final injury report for Sunday. Harris didn't practice on Wednesday but was upgraded to a limited participant in Thursday's practice before taking in a full practice on Friday. Baltimore has a weak secondary that teams easily exploit, but they have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. That said, Harris has a wide range of outcomes. Jaylen Warren is back to full health and could start taking a ton of work from Harris, so his floor isn't safe. All that said, he's still a virtual must-start with the current climate of the running back position in fantasy.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) is officially listed as questionable for his team's Week 14 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson got in a limited session on Wednesday before missing practice on Thursday. He returned to a limited practice on Friday as his team gears up for a divisional matchup against Baltimore. If Johnson is able to play on Sunday, he will enjoy a plus matchup against a Baltimore defense that is allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts in 2022. That being said, Johnson has not shown much of a ceiling this season, setting him up as a low-end WR3 even if he's active. If Johnson does not play, it would upgrade the outlooks for both George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth in the Pittsburgh passing game. Stay tuned as Johnson could wind up as a game-time decision this weekend.
Thursday, December 08
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
The Pittsburgh Steelers designated kicker Chris Boswell (groin) to return from Injured Reserve on Thursday, opening his 21-day window to officially be activated from Injured Reserve. Boswell has been out since Week 7, but there's a chance he could return to starting kicking duties for Pittsburgh in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens. Matthew Wright has been filling in admirably for Boswell and has gone 12-for-14 on field-goal attempts and 7-for-7 on his extra-point tries in his four games with the team. Boswell could be rusty upon his return, and the Steelers offense hasn't been sustaining enough drives this year to make him anything more than a low-end deep-league streamer at the position.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) was only able to get in a limited practice session on Thursday. The 24-year-old suffered an oblique injury in Week 12, but was able to play through it last week. This seems like the Steelers are just being cautious with Harris, so fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned. It sounds like he'll be fine for this weekend, assuming he doesn't suffer a setback during Friday's practice. He'll be in the RB2 mix for the upcoming matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) was not able to suit up for Thursday's practice. He has been nursing a hip injury throughout most of the season. He was able to get through a limited session on Wednesday. As always, Friday's practice is going to go a long way to determining whether or not Johnson will play this weekend. His absence would mean increased value for George Pickens. If healthy, fantasy managers should consider Johnson a WR3 for this matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. There should be more details on his status after Friday's practice.
Wednesday, December 07
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) didn't take part in practice on Wednesday. Harris picked up an oblique injury in Week 12 but played through it in the Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons, carrying the ball 17 times for 86 yards while also catching a pass for six yards. The 24-year-old didn't have a setback last Sunday, so the Steelers are likely just managing his repetitions heading into the Week 14 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. As long as Harris returns to practice later this week, he should be Pittsburgh's lead back this weekend. After leading all RBs in the NFL in his rookie season in touches, Harris has been a big disappointment in his sophomore season and has become an RB2.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Johnson's Week 14 status is worth watching, but it's a good sign he was at least practicing early in the week. In the Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons, he caught five of his 11 targets for 60 yards while playing 82 percent of the offensive snaps. Johnson has a healthy 105 targets in 12 games this season, but he's done little with them (565 yards) and has yet to score in 2022 after finding the end zone a career-high eight times in 2021. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has been improving, so hopefully Johnson will peak at the right time for fantasy managers. Consider him a WR3/flex if he's active against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Sunday, December 04
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs) are both officially active on Sunday in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. Warren was inactive for Monday night's win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he'll be back in there this weekend and could have a bigger role alongside Najee Harris, who suffered an oblique injury in Week 12. Benny Snell Jr., who had a large role on Monday when Harris left the game, could also be more involved against the Falcons on the ground. Watt will have his usual pass-rushing role for the Steelers in a good matchup against Atlanta, and he should be in all starting IDP lineups. The 28-year-old All-Pro has dealt with injuries in 2022, but he's a game-wrecker when he's on the field.
Friday, December 02
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) is not on the team's final injury report, so he'll start against the Falcons in Week 13. Harris totaled 39 yards and a touchdown on 11 touches before leaving last Monday's game against the Indianapolis Colts, but he's good to go. Jaylen Warren (hamstring) is officially questionable, and his status could have a major impact on Harris' outlook. When Warren was active, Harris' touches were limited, but when he was out, Harris looked like the workhorse RB he was in his rookie season. It's tough to bench Harris either way, but his ceiling will be limited a bit if Warren is full-go.
Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs) is listed as questionable to play in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. A must-start linebacker in IDP fantasy formats, Watt may not be available this weekend. The 28-year-old has played at least 80 percent of the defensive snaps since returning from Injured Reserve in the last three games. In the Monday night win over the Indianapolis Colts, Watt posted three tackles (two solo) and a forced fumble. Fantasy managers will have to check back Sunday morning to see if he's active, and you'll need a backup LB option in case he's not cleared.
Thursday, December 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) didn't practice on Wednesday after getting injured in the Monday night win over the Indianapolis Colts. Harris' injury isn't believed to be serious, but his status for the Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons is up in the air. Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. stepped in on Monday after Harris was injured. Snell finished with 12 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown, adding one catch for six yards. McFarland had six carries for 30 yards and two catches for 11 yards. Rookie Jaylen Warren (hamstring) missed Monday's game but practiced in full on Wednesday and said "I'm ready to go" for this weekend. If Harris is limited or out this weekend, it's possible that Warren would lead the Steelers backfield against Atlanta.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday, while running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee) popped up on the injury report after putting in a limited practice. Harris picked up an oblique injury that isn't considered serious in Monday night's win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he's looking very iffy for Sunday's game versus the Atlanta Falcons. Snell and Anthony McFarland Jr. combined to split the backfield work on Monday when Harris departed. Rookie Jaylen Warren (hamstring) was inactive in Week 12 and has been cleared to return this weekend, so if Harris is out, there's a good chance that Warren will lead Pittsburgh's backfield this Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) put in a second straight day of full practice on Thursday. "Doctors cleared me, I'm ready to go," Warren said on Wednesday. He sat out of the Monday night win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he's primed to return in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. And with Najee Harris (oblique) looking iffy to play, Warren has a shot to lead Pittsburgh's backfield this weekend. The 24-year-old could lose touches to Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. if Harris is inactive, but an expanded role would give him at least RB3/flex appeal for fantasy managers against a Falcons defense that has allowed the 10th-most half-PPR points per game to opposing RBs this year.
Wednesday, November 30
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (abdomen), who was ruled out on Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts with an abdominal injury, didn't suffer a major injury, according to sources. Harris' status for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons is up in the air, though, and he'll be evaluated as the practice week unfolds. Fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on his practice participation, but it's good news that his injury isn't considered serious. A week after having his best game of the season, Harris scored his third touchdown in two weeks, but an abdominal injury forced him out in the first half and he never returned. He's likely to be questionable for Week 13, and if he doesn't play, Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. will likely split backfield work if rookie Jaylen Warren (hamstring) misses a second straight game with his injury.
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) told reporters that doctors have cleared him to return and that he expects to play this week. The rookie running back missed Monday night's matchup against the Indianapolis Colts because of a hamstring injury he suffered the week before against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, his return from the injury couldn't have come at a better time for the Steelers. Najee Harris suffered an abdominal injury against the Colts and couldn't play in the second half. While he reportedly didn't suffer a severe injury, Harris' status for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons is still up in the air. If Harris can't play, Warren should get the start against a struggling Atlanta run defense.
Tuesday, November 29
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris left his team's Monday night game against the Indianapolis Colts with an abdominal injury and will not return. Harris injured himself during the second quarter of the contest and was ruled out shortly thereafter, leaving the backfield work for Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. Harris finishes his Week 12 contest with 10 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown while adding a four-yard catch. His status will be worth monitoring throughout the week as Pittsburgh gears up to face off against the Atlanta Falcons on the road in Week 13.
Saturday, November 26
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 12 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The 24-year-old continues to deal with a lingering knee issue that will hold him out of this contest. The expectation is that Najee Harris will get a bulk of the carries on Sunday. Last week, Harris totaled massive 92% snap rate. It's likely that the Steelers mix in Benny Snell Jr. as well, but Harris is going to see plenty of snaps on Sunday. He should be a mid-range RB2 for this upcoming matchup against the Colts.
Tuesday, November 22
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (knee) did not suffer a significant injury in Week 11. However, head coach Mike Tomlin mentioned that his status for next Monday's game against the Indianapolis Colts remains up in the air. The 24-year-old rookie has looked solid while backing up Najee Harris this season, totaling 327 scrimmage yards. If he can't suit up in Week 12, Benny Snell Jr. would operate as Pittsburgh's No. 2 back.
Sunday, November 20
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (appendix) will play during the Week 11 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old will be back in action after missing one game due to a appendicitis. His return will be a significant boost to the Steelers defense. Through seven games, Fitzpatrick has 45 tackles, six fumbles forced, and three interceptions this season. It doesn't sound like the team plans on limiting Fitzpatrick at all. The expectation is that he'll be fully active despite recently undergoing a procedure.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) and wide receiver Miles Boykin (oblique) are both questionable to return against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. Warren amassed 152 scrimmage yards over his last two games entering this week, and he had nine receiving yards before exiting Sunday's game. Benny Snell will operate as the Steelers' No. 2 back in his absence. Boykin, meanwhile, has just one catch this season. He's merely a depth piece for Pittsburgh, so his injury has minimal fantasy implications.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (hamstring) and wide receiver Miles Boykin (oblique) have been downgraded to out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Thursday, November 17
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. According to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Harris has some knee discomfort, although he doesn't expect it to be an issue for the Week 11 game against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old practiced in full Wednesday puts him on track towards suiting up against the Bengals in Week 11. He has rushed for 460 yards and a touchdown while catching 24 passes for 112 yards and two scores in nine games in 2022. Harris will be the Steelers' lead back and is considered a borderline RB2 against Cincinnati in Week 11.
Tuesday, November 15
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that running back Najee Harris (knee) has some knee discomfort, although he doesn't expect it to be an issue for the Week 11 game against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. Fantasy managers should expect Harris to be limited somewhat in practices this week, though, but ultimately he should be available this weekend. The 24-year-old saw a season-high 20 carries for a season-high 99 rushing yards in the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints, while Jaylen Warren had a season-high nine carries for 37 yards. Barring a setback with Harris' knee, he should continue to be the team's lead back against Cincy, but he hasn't scored since Week 3 and will continue to lose valuable touches to the rookie in Pittsburgh's low-upside offense.

Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick underwent an appendectomy on Sunday and is expected to miss multiple weeks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 25-year-old has appeared in seven games this season, racking up 45 tackles and three interceptions. Tre Norwood will likely handle the bulk of snaps at free safety in Fitzpatrick's absence.

Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) said he will play in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints and doesn't expect to be on a snap count. Pittsburgh will likely officially activate Watt from the Injured Reserve on Saturday. The 28-year-old reigning Defensive Player of the Year will be a gigantic boost to the Steelers defense against a Saints offense that isn't scaring anyone. Watt is an absolute game-wrecker with an endless motor on defense, and he should be returned to starting IDP lineups immediately. Before getting hurt in the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, he had six solo tackles, a sack, three tackles for loss, a QB hit, two passes defensed and an interception. The dude can do it all.

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed kicker Chris Boswell (groin) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. In Pittsburgh's struggling offense this year, Boswell hasn't been on the fantasy radar. The 31-year-old has made 12 of his 16 field-goal attempts and all nine of his extra-point tries in seven games played. The Steelers signed Matthew Wright off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad this week, and he will kick in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. The 26-year-old made three of his four field goals and all eight of his extra points in two games earlier this year for the Chiefs when Harrison Butker was injured. Wright should be ignored in fantasy.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed kicker Matthew Wright to the active 53-man roster from the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad on Wednesday, meaning Wright has to be on the roster for three games. It's bad news for Chris Boswell (groin), who is dealing with an injury. Boswell checks in as the No. 25 fantasy kicker this year, so Wright won't be on the fantasy map in what should be his debut with the team against the New Orleans Saints. Wright served as the Chiefs kicker in Weeks 4 and 5 and made three of his four field-goal tries while making all eight of his extra points. In his three NFL seasons, the 26-year-old from Central Florida has made 87.5 percent of his 32 field-goal attempts in 19 games played.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are finalizing a trade for Washington Commanders cornerback William Jackson on Tuesday, according to sources. It's unknown what the Commanders will receive in return. It comes after the Steelers traded receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears for a second-round pick in 2023. Jackson missed his third straight start for Washington in Week 8 due to a back injury, so it remains to be seen when he'll be able to make his Pittsburgh debut, but his presence will be an upgrade for a struggling Steelers secondary. They've allowed the second-most passing yards per game (277.3) through eight weeks of the season. Meanwhile, Washington's secondary won't be any better off without Jackson, although he hadn't been a great fit in their defensive scheme.

Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt (pectoral, knee) was not activated from injured reserve and therefore will not play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, according to Brooke Pryor of ESPN. Watt has been out since Week 1 when he totaled one sack, one interception, and six tackles. The Steelers still have more than two weeks to activate him, so there's no reason to rush him back before he's healthy. With Pittsburgh on bye next week, Watt's next chance to return will come against the Saints in Week 10.

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell (groin) is being listed as questionable for his team's Week 8 road matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Boswell's name showed up on the injury report on Friday as a DNP with a groin injury as his team gears up to head on the road in Week 8. A late-week injury downgrade is never a great sign, and it's possible Boswell hurt himself during Thursday's practice and his status for Week 8 is suddenly in jeopardy. The Steelers will need to add a kicker to their roster if Boswell is unable to play, although whoever ends up kicking will not be a recommended fantasy option against an Eagles defense that is allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing kickers in 2022.
The Pittsburgh Steelers ruled out kicker Chris Boswell (groin) for the Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to his groin injury. Boswell was listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, but he's now been downgraded and won't kick on Sunday. The 31-year-old apparently injured his groin at practice later in the week, but it remains to be seen if this is a multi-week injury. It looks like the Steelers will have to scramble for a replacement at the position this week against the undefeated Eagles, who have been a bad matchup for kickers in fantasy. Whoever the Steelers go with at kicker should be avoided in fantasy. Pittsburgh has a bye in Week 9, so perhaps Boswell will be ready to go for a Week 10 meeting against the New Orleans Saints.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (ankle) practiced in full on Thursday after he was limited on Wednesday. Freiermuth missed Week 6 due to a concussion but returned in last week's loss to the Miami Dolphins with eight catches for a team-high 75 yards. Barring a setback on Friday, the second-year tight end should be good to go for this weekend's meeting with the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. In a game in which the Steelers will probably be throwing a lot, Freiermuth is a solid TE1 choice for fantasy managers. In his six games so far in 2022, Freiermuth has 28 catches on 41 targets for 310 yards and one touchdown for the Steelers.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday. After missing Week 6 due to a concussion, the 24-year-old returned to action last Sunday night against the Miami Dolphins. He caught eight of his nine targets for 75 yards in the Week 7 loss. Freiermuth was limited with an ankle issue but should be available for Sunday's contest against Philadelphia Eagles. Freiermuth is a borderline TE1 against an Eagles defense that ranks 11 in DVOA against opposing tight ends this season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers designated linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday, opening up a 21-day window for the team to officially activate him. Watt returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since being put on IR on Sept. 15 after suffering a pectoral injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. If the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is available in your IDP league, pick him up now and stash him immediately. Watt is a game-wrecker when healthy, and he had a sack and an interception before getting hurt in the season opener. He tied the NFL record in a single season in 2021 with 22.5 sacks and has led the league in sacks in two straight seasons.
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Calvin Austin III (foot) will remain on Injured Reserve for the rest of the year after the 21-day window to activate him expired. Austin was placed on Injured Reserve at the start of the year after he suffered a foot injury in training camp. He returned to practice on Oct. 5, but he won't be able to return at all in his rookie season. The fourth-round pick out of the University of Memphis didn't see any action in the preseason, but it will be interesting to see how he develops next year alongside another impressive rookie in George Pickens. Austin is worth stashing in dynasty/keeper leagues only.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is unlikely to be available at the trade deadline.. The organization attempted to move Claypool during the preseason, but couldn't find a suitor. Now, the Steelers might have a better chance at trading him with Claypool playing better as of late. Over the last two weeks, Claypool has 12 receptions for 146 yards and one touchdown. Possibly, the move to rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has helped the 24-year-old wideout. The Steelers are still rebuilding their roster, so it seems they plan on keeping Claypool in the hopes that he's turned the page. They would likely listen to offers for Claypool, but it doesn't sound like they will move him unless the deal is right.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) will play on Sunday versus the Dolphins. The 23-year-old didn't suit up in Week 6 due to a concussion. However, he practiced in full all week, erasing all doubt regarding his availability. Freiermuth has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option this season and has 20 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown. Fantasy managers should expect the worst and hope for the best.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) is officially active for Sunday night's meeting with the Miami Dolphins. The rookie suffered a concussion in Week 6 against the Buccaneers, ruling him out for the rest of the game. Nonetheless, Pickett has struggled in his inaugural campaign, tossing only one touchdown while throwing four picks and completing just 66.3% of his attempts. As a result, fantasy managers should keep him out of the lineup until he proves he can be an effective fantasy option.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, tight end Pat Freiermuth and cornerback Levi Wallace have all cleared the league's concussion protocol and are all on track to play on Sunday night against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. Pickett put in a full week of practice after leaving last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early due to a head injury. The 24-year-old will return to starting duties and will continue being a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues. Freiermuth missed the Week 6 game but will return for Sunday Night Football. The 23-year-old second-year tight end has 20 receptions (32 targets) for 235 yards and a touchdown in his five games so far this year. He'll be on the TE1/2 borderline for his return against Miami.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
As Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin promised, rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Pickett remains in the league's concussion protocol, but he's been cleared to fully participate in practice, which is a great sign that he'll be cleared to start in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football. Before the 24-year-old was knocked out of Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he went 11-for-18 for 67 yards and a touchdown. As long as Pickett gets clearance from an independent neurologist later in the week, he will make the start in Week 7.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) was able to practice in full on Wednesday after he missed the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It means that barring a setback, he should be able to gain clearance to return in Week 7 on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. Freiermuth caught both of his targets for just 12 yards before suffering his concussion in Week 5. After an impressive rookie campaign in 2021, the second-year tight end has 20 catches on 32 targets for 235 yards and one touchdown in his five games so far this year. If he gets the green light to play against Miami, Freiermuth will profile as a high-end, touchdown-dependent TE2 for fantasy managers.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, but his practice work will not be limited this week. "If he can play," Tomlin said, "he will play." The Steelers play on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins this week, so Pickett will have a little extra time to clear the protocol after getting knocked out of the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 24-year-old first-rounder went 11-for-18 for 67 yards and a touchdown before leaving. The Steelers will get Mitch Trubisky ready to go just in case, but if Pickett clears the protocol, the team will likely stick with him as the starter against Miami.
The expectation is that Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) will be cleared to play in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. Steelers.com's Dale Lolley reports that head coach Mike Tomlin said Freiermuth is scheduled to return to practice on Wednesday after sitting out the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his absence last Sunday, Zach Gentry caught his only target for just four yards. Before getting injured in Week 5, Freiermuth caught seven of nine targets for a season-high 85 yards in Week 4 against the New York Jets. The second-year tight end will be on the TE1/2 borderline if he returns to action in Week 7 against the Dolphins.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett (illness) was listed as questionable coming into this Week 6 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite that, it sounds like Barrett is feeling good enough to play here. He's in uniform and should be able to play a full amount of snaps on Sunday. Through five games, Barrett has 21 tackles, two sacks, and one fumble forced. Having Barrett active is an upgrade to this Bucs defense, so fantasy managers using Tampa Bay's defense will be excited about this news.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (head) is being evaluated for a possible concussion. He is questionable to return against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. In the meantime, Mitch Trubisky has taken over at quarterback. Prior to exiting, Pickett racked up 68 passing yards, 16 rushing yards, and one touchdown.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (head) was evaluated for a concussion and has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 6 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mitch Trubisky took over at quarterback. Pickett finishes the day with 68 passing yards, 16 rushing yards, and one touchdown.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) returned to a full practice on Thursday after he began the week as a limited participant on Wednesday. Barring some sort of setback, fantasy managers should expect him to be active in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett targeted Johnson a season-high 13 times in the blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, but Johnson caught just five of them for 60 yards and has yet to score a touchdown through five weeks. He's become more of a low-end WR2 in this Steelers offense, but the good news is he's seeing plenty of looks with double-digit targets in four of his five games.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) was limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday, but he remains in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in the Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 23-year-old has already suffered multiple concussions in his two years in the NFL, so he's by no means a lock to make it back in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he isn't cleared by Sunday's game, Zach Gentry and Connor Heyward would split repetitions at tight end for Pittsburgh. Fantasy managers that have been using Freiermuth as their starting tight end through five weeks should look in another direction this week. He has 20 catches on 32 targets for 235 yards and five touchdowns to this point.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth will miss the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after he suffered a concussion in the loss to the Buffalo Bills last week. This should open up more targets for Chase Claypool, Dionte Johnson, and George Pickens, but Zach Gentry could be a factor, too. Ultimately, the Buccaneers' front seven will likely terrorize rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, so all Steelers' pass-catchers carry plenty of risk into this game.
Wednesday, October 12
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. In addition to Freiermuth, Zach Gentry (knee) also missed practice, so the Steelers are hurting at the position heading into Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If both Freiermuth and Gentry are unable to play this weekend, Connor Heyward would be the Steelers' top pass-catching tight end. Before leaving last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills, Freiermuth caught both of his targets for 12 yards. Fantasy managers should consider him very questionable to play this Sunday, and if you've been rolling with him as your starting TE, you need to be looking for backup options in Week 6.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) didn't finish practice on Wednesday with a hip injury, but he said he's fine and just took a knee to his hip. There are no long-term concerns and he should be available to play in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett's first career start in a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills, Johnson caught just five of a season-high 13 targets for 60 yards, but it was an improvement over his two-catch, 11-yard performance in Week 4. Johnson has yet to find the end zone in 2022, but it's a good sign that Pickett targeted him 13 times in a positive game script last week. He'll be a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 for fantasy managers in Week 6.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) was unable to practice on Wednesday ahead of a Week 6 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 23-year-old suffered a concussion in Week 5, his third in the past 12 months. Fantasy managers should monitor the situation to see if Freiermuth can clear the NFL's concussion protocol this week, but it seems like a long shot for him to play, especially given his history. With Zach Gentry (knee) also missing practice, rookie tight end Connor Heyward could be in line for an expanded role on Sunday.

Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt (pectoral) underwent knee surgery to "clean up a preseason injury that lingered into the regular season," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year was already recovering from a torn pectoral muscle that was expected to sideline him for six weeks, but the knee operation will likely delay his return even further. Schefter notes that Watt might not get back on the field until after the Steelers' Week 9 bye.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 5 versus the Buffalo Bills. He finished the day with just two catches for 12 yards. The 23-year-old will have one week to get healthy before next Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his absence, Zach Gentry and Connor Heyward should see more snaps.
Saturday, October 08
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) practiced in full on Friday and will suit up for a Week 5 bout with the Buffalo Bills. This is excellent news for a Pittsburgh defense that has struggled for the past three weeks and is already without 2021 Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt (pectoral). Fitzpatrick has been great to start the season as he has already hauled in three interceptions and is second on the team in tackles. The Steelers will still have their work cut out for them against a humming Buffalo offense that is scoring as a top-five unit in the league.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) practiced in full on Friday and has been removed from the final injury report. He will play in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills after popping up on the injury report on Thursday. Johnson had the worst game of his season so far in the Week 4 loss to the New York Jets, catching just two of four targets for 11 yards. He might have had more chemistry with quarterback Mitch Trubisky, but rookie first-rounder Kenny Pickett is the starter under center moving forward. Against a tough Bills defense this weekend, Johnson's fantasy stock has fallen to more of a WR3 in his first start with the inexperienced Pickett as his QB.
Thursday, October 06
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) did not take part in practice on Wednesday, but he still has a chance to play in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills. His availability for this Sunday's game will be determined later in the week. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues will have to continue to monitor the 25-year-old's progress the rest of the week. If Fitzpatrick is unavailable for this weekend, Bills quarterback Josh Allen could have a field day with Pittsburgh's secondary. The four-time All-Pro is usually a must-start defensive back in IDP lineups when he's on the field. Through the first four games, Fitzpatrick has racked up 32 tackles (19 solo), three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and four passes defensed.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) popped up on Thursday's injury report and was listed as a limited participant in practice. Johnson is apparently just dealing with some hip soreness after the Week 4 loss to the New York Jets, so it doesn't sound like an injury that will sideline him this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. The 26-year-old had his worst game of the young season last weekend, catching just two of his four targets for only 11 yards. He had double-digit targets each of the first three weeks. Now that rookie first-round quarterback Kenny Pickett is the team's starter, Johnson's fantasy value could be on the decline if the two don't have great chemistry. If active, Johnson will be more of a WR3 this weekend for his fantasy managers.

Chicago Bears guard Cody Whitehair (knee) is not believed to have suffered a season-ending injury, according to head coach Matt Eberflus. He exited in the second quarter of Sunday's game due to a knee issue. It's apparently a significant enough injury that Whitehair is going to miss multiple weeks. The organization is hopeful to get Whitehair back at some point this season, but didn't give a timetable. Lucas Patrick is expected to fill in at left guard in Whitehair's absence. This is certainly a downgrade to an already not great Bears offensive line.

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett entered Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Mitchell Trubisky has been benched after completing just seven of 13 passes for 84 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. He was also sacked three times. The Steelers used a first-round pick on Pickett and view him as their franchise quarterback, so it makes sense that they are getting him involved in the wake of Trubisky's struggles.
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 4 versus the New York Jets. The 24-year-old had registered 12 tackles through the first three games. Miles Killebrew figures to see a bump in snaps while Edmunds remains in the league's concussion protocol.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Fitzpatrick was assessed after the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns last Thursday night. The 25-year-old four-time All-Pro should now be considered questionable to play in Week 4 against the New York Jets by his fantasy managers in IDP leagues. When healthy, he is a must-start defensive back in IDP leagues, but fantasy managers might have to pivot to another option this weekend if he can't get cleared. Through the first three weeks, Fitzpatrick has 24 tackles (14 solo), two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and two passes defensed. Check back later this week to see if he has made progress in the protocols.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden has decided to retire. The 33-year-old will sign a one-day contract with Cleveland to retire as a Brown. The Browns drafted the former first-round pick in 2010, where he played for seven years before joining the Steelers for his final five seasons. He was selected to the Pro Bowl three times and voted second-team All-Pro once. Haden will end his career where it began, creating a sentimental moment for him and Browns fans.
Cleveland Browns defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) is officially out for Thursday night's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran defensive lineman suffered the injury in last week's 31-30 loss to the New York Jets. Reports earlier in the week stated he wouldn't play against the Steelers. However, the Browns have officially ruled him out for the AFC North divisional showdown. While Cleveland won't have Clowney for this game, Myles Garrett is expected to play against the Steelers. Despite the loss of Clowney, the Browns defense remains a solid streaming option against a struggling Pittsburgh offense.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was removed from the Week 2 injury report and will play on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Harris was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he practiced in full the last two days and is good to go after aggravating his foot injury in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old led the league in touches in his rookie season in 2021, but he carried the ball just 10 times for 23 yards (2.3 yards per tote) and added two catches for three yards and a score in Week 1. He should see more usage in Week 2, although the Patriots held the Dolphins to just 18 rushing attempts and 43 yards in the season opener. Because of the chance that Harris is limited this weekend, fantasy managers should consider him more of an RB2.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to place linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) on the injured reserve this week. He was already ruled out for Week 2 against the New England Patriots and is set to miss at least the next four games. The 27-year-old won't require surgery for his torn left pectoral muscle and is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks. Fantasy managers in IDP fantasy formats need to stash Watt for now. Pittsburgh is signing linebacker David Anenih to their 53-man roster off of the Titans practice squad in a corresponding move.
The Pittsburgh Steelers officially placed linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) on Injured Reserve on Thursday and signed outside linebacker David Anenih to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Anenih was on the Tennessee Titans practice squad before joining the Steelers. Watt and the Steelers initially believed he suffered a season-ending torn pectoral muscle in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but after receiving multiple medical opinions, it was determined he could avoid surgery and return later this year. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues need to keep the 27-year-old reigning Defensive Player of the Year stashed. Watt will miss at least the next four games, but he's expected to need around six weeks to recover from a partially torn left pec.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) got in a full practice on Thursday as his team gears up for a home matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 2. Harris left his team's Week 1 matchup early with a foot injury and practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, but his upgrade on Thursday bodes well for his ability to suit up on Sunday. That being said, the Patriots represent a tough matchup for Harris as they allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2021 and held Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert to just 41 yards on 17 combined carries in Week 1. Treat Harris as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in fantasy for Week 2.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was limited in practice on Wednesday after suffering a foot injury in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Harris said "it's good" and doesn't seem to be worried at all about missing Week 2 against the New England Patriots. However, head coach Mike Tomlin said he wants to see more from Harris this week before his status is determined for Sunday. "Naj is really optimistic," said Tomlin. "It's good to be young. He appears to be in position, but he's going to have to practice and prove his readiness." The 24-year-old apparently aggravated a Lisfranc injury that he dealt with in training camp. As long as Harris doesn't suffer a setback later this week, there's a good chance he'll suit up in Week 2, where he'll be a must-start fantasy back. Those that have Harris rostered should scoop up rookie Jaylen Warren off the waiver wire as insurance.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt (pectoral) got some good news on his pectoral injury on Monday. It is believed that Watt will not need surgery and the injury will not end his season, although he is still getting additional medical opinions. Watt could be able to return to the field in as few as six weeks, although the Steelers are likely to place him on the short-term injured reserve in the meantime. The star pass rusher had a big game in Week 1 before the injury, notching six tackles, a sack, and an interception. Watt's timeline for a return should become clearer in the next few weeks.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) is pretty confident that he'll play in Week 2 against the New England Patriots after aggravating his Lisfranc foot injury late in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. "I'll be back at practice this week, and then I will be playing this weekend," Harris said Tuesday. Harris had only 10 carries for 23 yards and caught two passes for three yards and a touchdown in the season opener. Rookie Jaylen Warren is the handcuff for Harris in case he misses any time this season, with Benny Snell Jr. No. 3 on the RB depth chart. However, receiver Chase Claypool was second in rushing attempts for Pittsburgh last Sunday. There's a good chance that Harris is questionable for Week 2, so fantasy managers need to have a backup plan in place just in case.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has ruled out linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) for the team's Week 2 contest against the New England Patriots. "I can definitively say that TJ won't play this week, but I won't make any commitments beyond that. We're encouraged," Tomlin said. The Steelers and Watt feared that he tore his pectoral late in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but after consulting with multiple doctors since Sunday, it's looking more likely that the 27-year-old reigning Defensive Player of the Year may play again in 2022. If Watt doesn't need surgery, he has a chance at returning in around six weeks. Fantasy managers in IDP fantasy formats need to stash Watt for now, as he proved again in Week 1 that he's one of the best linebackers in the game.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) suffered a torn pec muscle in the team's Week 1 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, but he will not require surgery, according to Ian Rapoport. Watt did not tear the tendon, which is why there is optimism that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year could return in as little as six weeks. Considering many thought this would be a season-ending injury, this seems like the best-case scenario for the stud pass-rusher. In his absence, Malik Reed figures to have an increased role after being acquired from the Denver Broncos prior to the start of the season. Reed has started 34 games in Denver and has accumulated 15 sacks, 124 tackles (74 solo) and three forced fumbles.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (ankle, foot) suffered an apparent ankle/foot injury late in the team's Week 1 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Harris rolled his ankle in the contest after recovering from a Lisfranc sprain he sustained in training camp. Luckily, the injury does not seem to be significant and the Steelers are hopeful that he will be fine. Jaylen Warren was the only other running back with a touch in Sunday's game and will start in Week 2 if Harris is unable to go.
Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) is undergoing an MRI exam on Monday to determine the severity of a pectoral injury that he suffered late in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers fear that Watt tore his pectoral, but we may not know for sure until he seeks multiple opinions from doctors. If Watt needs surgery, it would be season-ending, but if he avoids going under the knife, there's a chance he could choose to rehab in hopes of returning in a couple weeks. Losing the reigning Defensive Player of the Year would be a huge blow to the Steelers defense, so stay tuned. The 27-year-old was a game-wrecker before getting injured on Sunday, recording a sack, six solo tackles (three for loss), an interception and a pass defensed.
Tests on Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris' foot came back negative on Monday, and there is a belief that he "should be good to go" for a Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots, according to a source. Harris dealt with a Lisfranc sprain to the same foot during training camp, and it's believed this was just a minor aggravation of that injury. Last year's leader in touches carried just 10 times for 23 yards and caught both of his targets for three yards and a touchdown in Week 1's overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. We'll need to keep a close eye on Harris' practice status this week, but as of now, his fantasy managers have to consider this a huge win. If Harris is limited or inactive in Week 2, rookie Jaylen Warren would be in line for lead-back duties, with Benny Snell Jr. backing him up.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was injured late in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 matchup against Cincinnati. While it was reassuring that he limped off the field under his own power, he dealt with a Lisfranc injury during training camp, adding an extra element to the situation. Overall, the 24-year-old struggled on the day, finishing with only 23 yards off 10 touches and two catches for three yards. Nevertheless, there could be an update on his condition soon. However, fantasy managers should prepare for Week 2, and it wouldn't be surprising if Harris misses time. If that's the case, rookie Jaylen Warren appears to be the favorite to take over out of the backfield, although Benny Snell Jr. may also be involved.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (pectoral) was injured in the fourth quarter of the divisional showdown with Cincinnati. After landing a hit on Joe Burrow, the 27-year-old announced, "I tore my pec," as he ran over to the sidelines. Undoubtedly, the Steelers are hoping for positive news, primarily since Watt finished last season with 22.5 sacks. However, if it is a pec tear, his year is done. He is scheduled to undergo scans on Monday, although IDP managers should brace themselves for the worst.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) left late in the fourth quarter during Sunday's matchup against Cincinnati. Harris dealt with a Lisfranc injury throughout training camp, so fantasy managers are anticipating the worst. However, NFL Network's Mike Giardi provided a reassuring update on Twitter, commenting, "I'm told the injury is not considered a big deal." While the Tweet is certainly positive, there should be a more concrete update soon, so Harris shouldn't be declared a lock for the Week 2 outing versus the New England Patriots. If he's out for that one, managers can grab Jaylen Warren off the wire to help lessen the blow, although Chase Claypool could see some touches out of the backfield.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (shoulder) was limited during Thursday's practice. Johnson has back-to-back limited practice sessions under his belt. It sounds like the team is taking it one day at a time. That being said, fantasy managers will likely have to wait until after practice on Friday for more information. The fact Johnson has practiced twice in a row means he's trending towards playing. George Pickens and Chase Claypool would see increased workloads if Johnson is unable to play during Week 1.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (shoulder) says he is good to go for the team's Week 1 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old was a full participant in practice on Friday but mentioned he will have to deal with some pain tolerance moving forward. After averaging a whopping 10.6 targets per game in 2021. Johnson figures to be the No. 1 target once again in the Mitch Trubisky-led Pittsburgh offense. He can be valued as a solid WR2 option for fantasy managers in a decent matchup.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt has agreed to restructure his current contract with the team, creating $6.75 million in cap space. This move will provide the club with added flexibility entering the season. The 27-year-old is one of the best in the game, coming off a career-high 22.5 sacks in 2021, earning him the Defensive Player of The Year Award. Watt is an integral piece of the defense and projects to have another big year.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders officially announced his retirement from professional football on Wednesday. "I gave it my all. Every single rep, every single play, I tried to go 100 percent as hard as I can. And that's why I can hang my hat and say I gave the game everything I had and the game gave it back to me," Sanders said. The 35-year-old was originally a third-round pick by the Steelers in 2010 out of SMU. He spent his first four years in Pittsburgh before joining the Broncos, where he won his only Super Bowl ring and was named to the Pro Bowl twice. Sanders had three straight 1,000-yard seasons in Denver from 2014-16 and spent 12 years in the NFL. In total, he racked up 704 catches (1,136 targets) for 9,245 yards and 51 touchdowns in 172 regular season games for the Steelers, Broncos, 49ers, Saints and Bills.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (shoulder) finds himself on the injury report for the first report of the year on Wednesday, and he was listed as a limited participant in practice. Johnson said he feels like he's on the right trajectory in his healing process after getting injured in the preseason finale, but he also didn't give a concrete update on his availability for Week 1 against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old didn't sound sold that he'd play this weekend, so fantasy managers should prepare for a worst-case scenario now. If he's active, he'll be a WR2 in fantasy lineups, but if he's not, Chase Claypool and rookie George Pickens would see much larger roles in the passing game alongside tight end Pat Freiermuth.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (shoulder) is "fine," according to head coach Mike Tomlin, adding that the wideout might have returned if the injury occurred during the regular season. While the latest report is encouraging, there should be a more definitive update regarding Johnson's health within the next few days. However, unless his condition significantly changes for the worse, his fantasy draft stock shouldn't suffer.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris made his preseason debut in a 19-9 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He carried the ball four times for 10 yards and added 11 receiving yards on three catches. Harris also revealed to reporters on Sunday that he suffered a lisfranc injury to his foot in camp about four weeks ago. The injury generally comes with a 4-6 week timetable for recovery. Fantasy gamers who haven't drafted yet will want to keep the injury in the back of their minds when they are filling out their rosters, although it appears that he will be close to fully recovered when Week 1 rolls around. Presumed No. 2 running back, rookie Jaylen Warren, needs to be rostered in all deeper leagues moving forward.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) confirmed he has battled a sprained Lisfranc since training camp. He's been dealing with it for a month, so considering an injury of this magnitude takes roughly six weeks to heal, it shouldn't be a factor when the Steelers open the season on September 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The sophomore had 307 carries last season. However, even before the injury, the team had hoped to reduce his workload during the 2022-23 campaign. Yet, if this forces Harris to miss time, Benny Snell Jr. is in line to be the primary beneficiary. Harris' managers should strongly consider adding Snell as an insurance policy heading into Week 1.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (knee) didn't return to Sunday's preseason matchup against the Detroit Lions. The team isn't overly concerned, with head coach Mike Tomlin reporting the superstar is "fine" while adding he might have returned if the injury happened during the regular season. However, fantasy managers will remain uneasy until they see him on the field for the opener versus the Cincinnati Bengals. At the same time, unless something changes regarding the ailment, Watt should continue to be targeted as a top IDP option in fantasy drafts heading into Week 1.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) should be fine for the Week 1 regular season opener after dealing with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot early in the preseason. Harris played in the team's preseason finale on Sunday against the Detroit Lions and had four carries for 10 yards while catching all three of his targets for an additional 11 yards, so he looks to be just fine. While the 24-year-old appears to be past the injury, it's certainly worth watching after he led the league in touches in his rookie season in 2021. The Steelers are expected to lighten his load in Year 2 slightly, but the offense in Pittsburgh should continue to run through him, making him a no-doubt RB1 in fantasy football drafts.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (shoulder) was pulled out of Sunday's preseason finale. He caught a 38-yard pass, but landed awkwardly on his shoulder. He was able to exit the game and head to the locker room under his own power. This quick exit shouldn't be too alarming to fantasy managers. The Steelers are obviously going to be extremely cautious with their stud wideout in an exhibition game. Luckily, Johnson has two weeks to heal his shoulder before the regular season begins. Fantasy managers should get an update on Johnson within the next day or two.
Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt (knee) was unable to finish Sunday's preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. The superstar pass rusher was hit low on a block from T.J. Hockenson. Luckily, Watt was able to get off the field under his own power. At first glance, this doesn't seem to be a serious injury. The organization should give more information within the next few days. The good news is, Watt will have two weeks to rest and recover before the regular season begins. It's worth noting that the Steelers defense would take a significant hit if Watt is forced to miss time during the regular season.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) has been given the green light to suit up for Sunday's preseason finale against the Lions. Harris had been held out of the first two preseason contests as the team attempts to manage his workload following a rookie campaign that saw him lead the league in touches (381). It's unlikely that Harris will garner significant snaps in the Steelers' final tuneup, which should pave the way for backfield mates Benny Snell Jr., Anthony McFarland Jr. and Jaylen Warren to see sizable workloads. After a Pro Bowl selection in his first year that saw him amass 1,200 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns, Harris will be a hot commodity in fantasy drafts and a surefire first-round selection. He opens the season Sept. 11 at Cincinnati.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) said that he is fully healthy after dealing with a hip-flexor issue. The 26-year-old mentioned that he has been running around and feeling like himself. It sounds like this injury is behind him and he has a nice new extension as well. Johnson was a stud last season and should remain the unquestioned No. 1 option in Pittsburgh. The change at quarterback shouldn't impact Johnson's value, so fantasy managers should consider Johnson a safe option with this injury behind him.
