| | Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) was unable to practice on Wednesday. JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) were also held out of practice, so the Chiefs top wideouts are all banged up heading into Sunday night's divisional clash against the Los Angeles Chargers. With that said, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore could all have elevated roles in Week 11, depending on who the Chiefs have available. Hardman missed the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and could be looking at his second straight absence. The 24-year-old was on a roll before his injury, catching 13 of 17 targets for 153 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for two scores in his last three games. |
| | Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) both missed practice on Wednesday. Mecole Hardman (abdomen) also missed practice, so KC's top wideouts are all questionable heading into a Sunday night showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. It remains to be seen who will be available this weekend, but Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore could all have elevated roles. Smith-Schuster, MVS and Hardman still have two days to get back on the practice field. With Hardman sidelined in the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Valdes-Scantling finished second in receiving yards (60) and found the end zone. Toney also caught four passes for 57 yards and his first TD with the team. |
| | Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring, shoulder) was limited Wednesday. He was limited in practice last with hamstring and shoulder issues but did suit up against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 30-year-old had one rush for two yards and caught six of eight targets for 56 yards during Sunday's 27-17 win over Jacksonville. He continues to be used as a change of pace back, with 125 yards on 33 attempts while catching 25 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown over nine games in 2022. McKinnon is a borderline flex option against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. |
| | Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen) will miss another practice on Thursday. Both players have a shot to practice on Friday, but right now they are looking very iffy for Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. And with the game coming late Sunday night, both wideouts will be shaky starting fantasy options if they are game-time decisions. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) was back at practice on Thursday, and he could be KC's No. 1 receiver in a potential shootout if both Smith-Schuster and Hardman are unable to play. Receivers Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore would all have elevated roles as well. Check back on Friday for Smith-Schuster's and Hardman's official statuses. |
| | Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) will return to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session. It's good news for the Chiefs, but wideouts JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen) haven't practiced this week, leaving them iffy for Sunday night's showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. MVS had his first 100-yard game of the year in Week 7, caught just one pass for 12 yards in Week 9 and then went for 60 yards and his first touchdown of the year on three catches last week. He's been a volatile fantasy starter, but if both Smith-Schuster and Hardman are unable to play, Valdes-Scantling will basically become a must-start in KC's high-upside offense. |
| | The Kansas City Chiefs placed wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, meaning he'll miss at least the next four games. It's a tough break for Hardman and his fantasy managers, as he had scored five total touchdowns (three receiving, two rushing) in his previous three games before sitting out the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's still worth stashing in all fantasy formats since he could return and help out in the fantasy playoffs. JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) is in danger of missing Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, so Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) could serve as KC's WR1 alongside All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. Receivers Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore will take on bigger roles if Smith-Schuster doesn't clear the concussion protocol. |
