TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder center Jaylin Williams (ankle) will suit up for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The rookie big man will be back in action after missing the last three games due to a sprained ankle. He'll draw a tough matchup against Joel Embiid during his first game back. That being said, Williams won't be a great streaming option for Thursday's slate. Eugene Omoruyi will head back to the second unit and won't have much fantasy appeal with Williams healthy again.
Wednesday, January 04
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) has been removed from the team's injury report ahead of Wednesday's contest vs. Orlando, paving the way for him to suit up after a one-game absence. Even without Gilgeous-Alexander in the mix, OKC dropped a season-high 150 points Tuesday. A return from the league's fourth-leading scorer (30.8 PPG) will decrease the DFS value of many members of the Thunder backcourt, namely Josh Giddey, who will defer ballhandling opportunities to Gilgeous-Alexander. The 24-year-old is coming off a third consecutive month of elite fantasy production, as he has compiled at least a 33.1% usage rate across each of the season's first trio of months.
Tuesday, January 03
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) will not play Tuesday against the Boston Celtics. Gilgeous-Alexander went through the team's normal shootaround, but started feeling under the weather later in the day before being ruled out. The last time Gilgeous-Alexander sat, Isaiah Joe started and went for 23 points in 26 minutes. Joe, Kenrich Williams and Tre Mann should fill the void in some sort of committee.
Thursday, December 29
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (leg) is set to miss significant time after suffering an injury during Tuesday's game. The young forward sustained a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg. The team plans to re-evaluate Pokusevski in six-to-eight weeks. This is a tough blow to fantasy managers as Pokusevski probably won't return until closer to the fantasy playoffs. Mike Muscala and Darius Bazley are set to have increased roles with Pokusevski on the sideline. It'll be interesting to see how head coach Mark Daigneault changes his rotation in the absence of Pokusevski.
Wednesday, December 21
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazley (illness) will sit against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Bazley is dealing with a lingering illness and will miss his fourth straight game. Aleksej Pokusevski and Kenrich Williams should continue to get extra run while Bazley sits. Pokusevski holds high upside, but his minutes remain volatile so it is hard to predict when he has a good night.
Tuesday, December 20
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (illness) will sit Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Giddey will miss his third straight game due to a lingering illness and being ruled out over a day in advance is not very promising. Aaron Wiggins is in line for another start while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's usage rate should be through the roof. Gilgeous-Alexander should be a popular target in Wednesday's DFS slate.
Monday, December 19
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (back) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The star guard was originally ruled out for Monday, but it appears he's feeling better. There's a chance he returns to the court on Monday, which would be huge with Josh Giddey (illness) still sidelined. Gilgeous-Alexander would see a higher usage with Giddey on the sideline. Isaiah Joe is also in line for more minutes, but is more of a deep league streaming option.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (back) is available for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Originally, Gilgeous-Alexander was ruled out for this game, but it appears he's feeling good enough to get back on the court. This is great news for the Thunder with Joey Giddey (illness) still sidelined. Fantasy managers should make sure to get SGA back in their lineups for Monday. Isaiah Joe will head back to the bench, but should still have some streaming appeal in deep leagues while Giddey is out.
Sunday, December 18
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Luguentz Dort (hand) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Dort was forced to exit early during Friday's game due to a right hand sprain. It sounds like Dort has avoided serious injury and will play on Saturday. He'll be asked to help carry this offense with both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey sidelined. DFS players looking for help on Saturday should take a look at Dort.
Oklahoma City Thunder guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (back) and Josh Giddey (illness) have been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not good news as the Thunder will be without their starting backcourt on Saturday. Luckily, Luguentz Dort (hand) will play and is expected to carry this offense. Tre Mann, Isaiah Joe, and Aaron Wiggins will all see more playing time as well with Gilgeous-Alexander and Giddey sidelined. Between the three players, Mann has the highest upside and is the most reliable streaming choice.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Williams will be back in action for the first time since December 3rd. The expectation is that Williams is going to be on a minutes limit during his first game back. However, he could still have streaming value with the Thunder shorthanded on Saturday. Both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (back) and Josh Giddey (illness) are sidelined for this game. Williams might be able to carve out decent streaming value even in a limited role on Saturday.
Friday, December 16
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazley (illness) will miss his seventh game of the season on Friday as he watches from the sidelines with a non-COVID illness. The 22-year-old must have picked this up in between Friday and their last game on Wednesday. He was able to turn in a solid game against the Miami Heat with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block. His value only shines in much deeper fantasy leagues, but while he's out Jaylin Williams could be worth a look if any managers are in those types of leagues.
Wednesday, December 14
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder center Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat due to a sprained right ankle that he sustained Monday. Robinson-Earl's role has fluctuated throughout 2022-23, but he has managed to average 8.5 points and five boards in just 21.1 minutes per contest. His absence in the frontcourt paves the way for Aleksej Pokusevski to see an elevated workload, with Mike Muscala also a candidate to garner added looks. Irrespective of who plays the five for Oklahoma City, it will be a difficult matchup with Miami yielding the fewest DFS points per contest to opposing centers this season.
Tuesday, December 13
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Jeremiah Robinson-Earl left Monday's game against Dallas early with an apparent right ankle sprain. He was injured in the fourth quarter and exited after scoring six points and grabbing two rebounds in 14 minutes. Robinson-Earl has been one of the main frontcourt contributors for the Thunder this season and he's popped up with some very good performances as of late. We should know more about his injury prior to Wednesday's meeting with Miami. Should Robinson-Earl miss time, Darius Bazley is in line for a nice boost in playing time and Aleksej Pokusevski looks set to benefit as well.
Wednesday, December 07
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Luguentz Dort (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. Memphis due to a left knee contusion. The absence will mark the first of the year for Dort, opening up minutes on the wing for Jalen Williams, Isaiah Joe and others. While multiple OKC players will see a slight uptick in value, so will Ja Morant, who avoids Dort's tenacious defense. While Dort has shot just 40.5% overall through his first 24 games, he is on pace for new career bests in rebounds (4.6), assists (2.3) and steals (1.2) per contest, making him a worthy addition in medium-sized or larger formats. His next chance to suit up comes Saturday against the Cavaliers.
Sunday, December 04
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will suit up for Saturday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The star guard sat out of their last game due to a hip contusion. His absence opened up more playing time and chances for guys like Josh Giddey, Jalen Williams and Tre Mann. All of them should go back to their normal roles with Gilgeous-Alexander back on Saturday. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get SGA back in their lineups for Saturday.
Friday, December 02
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) has been tagged as questionable to play in Saturday's contest vs. Minnesota. Gilgeous-Alexander missed his second game of the year Wednesday, paving the way for Josh Giddey and Tre Mann to take on significantly elevated roles. Gilgeous-Alexander has played at an All-Star level through the first six weeks, ranking fifth in the league in scoring at 31 PPG. He has gone for at least 30 points in eight of his last nine games and dropped 32 on the Timberwolves back on Opening Night. His status will drastically alter the DFS appeal of all Thunder players, so fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off.
Thursday, December 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will miss just his second game of the season on Wednesday as he'll be sidelined against the San Antonio Spurs. The up-and-coming star is dealing with a left hip contusion at the moment. So far this season, he's been sensational with averages of 31.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. Tre Mann and Josh Giddey will see a lot of added usage. Mann will be the better streaming option since he's available in more leagues.
Monday, November 21
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Tre Mann (back) is available for Monday's game against the New York Knicks. Originally, the Thunder had Mann ruled out for this game, but it appears he's feeling good enough to play. However, it's unlikely he gets enough playing time to make an impact in fantasy leagues with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey healthy. Fantasy managers in deep leagues might want to keep an eye on Mann, but he won't offer much upside at the moment.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazley (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the New York Knicks. This is the first time that Bazley will be active since November 9th. However, fantasy managers shouldn't rush to pick him up with Jalen Williams playing so well. The rebuilding Thunder are likely to continue giving Williams significant playing time. That means, Bazley is more of a deep league option right now with Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) still on the sideline.
Saturday, November 19
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) injured his left ankle during Friday's loss to Memphis. The 20-year-old was having a fantastic night before his premature exit, scoring 10 points and blocking three shots in only 14 minutes of action. Pokusevski has played well this season, averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 13 games, so fantasy managers are hoping he doesn't miss time. However, if he does, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who had 14 points and seven boards, should receive extra work moving ahead.
Monday, November 14
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Tre Mann (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. The young guard is dealing with lower back soreness, so the team has decided to take the cautious approach and rest him. He suffered the injury during Sunday's contest, so it's not surprising to see the team being careful here. Aaron Wiggins and Jalen Williams should see a boost in playing time with Mann on the sideline. Between the two, Wiggins is the better fantasy option, but neither are great choices.
Friday, November 11
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazley (ankle) was forced to leave their last game on Thursday night due to a sprained ankle. It looks as though he'll be forced to miss at least one game as he was officially listed as out for their game on Friday against the Toronto Raptors. Aleksej Pokusevski will likely see a higher usage rate and Kenrich Williams will probably see some more minutes. Williams would only be a streaming option in very deep leagues, while Pokusevski would be the better option to start in all formats if he's available.
Thursday, November 10
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski has been upgraded to available on Wednesday night to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. He missed the last two games due to shoulder bursitis in his shooting arm. Now, with him back in the starting lineup, Darius Bazley and Mike Muscala will lose some minutes and opportunities. Pokusevski is only someone that should be rostered in dynasty leagues or deeper leagues anyway. The seven-footer is only putting up 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Darius Bazley (ankle) was forced to exit early during Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The young forward suffered a sprained right ankle, so he'll sit out the rest of this contest. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day right now. Aleksej Pokusevski is having a strong game on Wednesday and is in line for more playing time. He should be on the radar for fantasy managers with Bazley going down in this game.
Wednesday, November 09
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (shoulder) is listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Pokusevski has missed the past two games with shoulder bursitis in his shooting hand. The good news is both of those games, Pokusevski was ruled out a day in advance. The questionable tag indicates Pokusevski is making some progress in his return to the court. If Pokusevski is still unable to go, the Thunder will likely use a mix of Jalen Williams, Darius Bazley, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Kenrich Williams to fill the void.
Tuesday, November 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) will play Tuesday against the Orlando Magic. Giddey was originally ruled out over a day in advance, but upgraded to questionable before ultimately being listed as active and ready to play. The Thunder did this last week with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander so this could become a new normal from Oklahoma City. With Giddey back in action, Aaron Wiggins, Tre Mann and Jalen Williams will likely take a hit.
Wednesday, October 26
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) has been ruled out of Thursday's matchup against the Clippers. He sprained his right ankle in a meeting with Minnesota last weekend and already sat out Tuesday's clash with the Clippers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a monster game against his former team Tuesday night and is set to shine again. Tre Mann was also outstanding on Tuesday with 25 points and should remain a starter for OKC until Giddey can make it back to the court.
Tuesday, October 25
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. Giddey sprained his right ankle in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and is already being ruled out more than a day in advance, which does not bode well for his status moving forward. Giddey's absence should pave the way for more minutes for Tre Mann and Aaron Wiggins. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will also miss the game, so Aleksej Pokusevski may also see some time running the point. Mann has three-point upside, while Pokusevski is more of an all-around player for fantasy purposes.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will sit out Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Gilgeous-Alexander will miss his second straight game with a hip injury as the Thunder are likely exercising caution with him. Tre Mann saw the spot start on Saturday without Gilgeous-Alexander, but it was Luguentz Dort who had a team-high 20 points on 15 shots. Dort will likely be asked to handle the scoring on Tuesday as Josh Giddey (ankle) has also been ruled out. A mixture of Dort, Mann, Aaron Wiggins and possibly Aleksej Pokusevski will likely run the offense.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will play Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Gilgeous-Alexander was ruled out on Monday's injury report, then upgraded to questionable before being confirmed as playing. It has also been reported that Gilgeous-Alexander will not have any minutes restrictions. With teammate Josh Giddey (ankle) out, Gilgeous-Alexander should see a massive workload against a Clippers squad who is missing Paul George (illness), Kawhi Leonard (knee) and Marcus Morris (personal). Expect Gilgeous-Alexander to be a focal point in Tuesday's DFS slate.
Monday, October 24
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) exited Sunday night's game in the second half after spraining his right ankle. He stayed on the court for a while but was noticeably running gingerly. He finished the game with 10 points, two rebounds and five assists through 22 minutes of playing time. The Thunder are likely to be overly cautious with any injuries this season. Competing for a title probably isn't in the cards this year, so fantasy managers should check back for any updates on whether Giddey will be playing in the next game.
Sunday, October 23
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) is questionable to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night. Gilgeous-Alexander has been on a tear to start the season, but seems to have suffered a left hip contusion in Saturday night's loss to the Denver Nuggets. Given his injury history, the Thunder may decide to rest the young star. If that is the case, Josh Giddey will likely absorb most of the ball-handling duties while Tre Mann and Aaron Wiggins would be in line for more minutes.
Friday, October 21
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Jalen Williams has undergone surgery to repair an orbital bone fracture and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days. He was hit in the eye by Jaden McDaniels's elbow in Wednesday's 115-108 loss to Minnesota and had to leave the game. Williams managed to score five points in six minutes in his NBA debut before being forced to exit. This is a bad injury blow for the youngster who was set to play a significant role for the Thunder right off the bat, but hopefully he can make a quick return to action. Darius Bazley and Tre Mann, who combined for 19 points in Wednesday's loss, are set to benefit from Williams' absence and should get more playing time.
Tuesday, October 18
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) will play in the team's season opener. Originally, he looked like a long shot to get his knee ready for the first game of the year. While head coach Mark Daigneault did not name any starters or give any specifics, we should see Gilgeous-Alexander out on the floor in some capacity. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on any news coming from the team about potential starters as game time gets closer. If he can play, the young guard is a big-time fantasy contributor.
Sunday, October 16
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey had his third-year option picked up by the team on Saturday. The No. 6 overall selection of the 2021 NBA Draft averaged 12.5 points, 7.8 boards, and 6.4 assists in 54 games. Unfortunately, his rookie campaign ended early due to a hip injury. Giddey is now healthy heading into the 2022-23 season, where he will reclaim his role in the starting lineup. Without question, the 20-year-old should provide points, assists, and rebounds for category managers. However, he shot 26.3% from deep last season, so that will need to improve.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Tre Mann had his third-year option exercised by the team on Saturday. The No. 18 overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft averaged 10.4 points in 60 games last season. However, as a starter, he averaged 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals in 26 games. Mann is expected to come off the bench this season, so the 21-year-old probably won't be a routine fantasy producer in any format, although he'll occasionally have some productive showings.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski had his fourth-year option picked up by the team on Saturday. Pokusevski, a first-round pick in 2020, has averaged 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the last two seasons. He's still a work in progress, especially on the shooting end from deep, so fantasy managers won't receive routine production from him. However, after Chet Holmgren (foot) was lost for the year, Pokusevski's path to the starting lineup may have opened, giving him some upside in deeper formats.
Free-agent guard Isaiah Joe will sign a multi-year contract with OKC. Joe has spent his entire two-year career in Philly, where he averaged only 3.7 points and 1.0 rebounds in 96 games. While the 23-year-old has a great deal of potential, he's still far from being a day-to-day fantasy producer. However, Joe is someone to keep stashed in dynasty formats, and his 34.9% career shooting from deep gives him some value in category formats, even more so if he receives minutes for his new team.
Saturday, September 24
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort (shoulder) is expected to be 100 percent healthy heading into training camp. This is great to hear after Dort underwent surgery on his shoulder in March. The Thunder have invested quite a lot of money in Dort with a five year deal worth $87.5 million. He's expected to be a key player for this organization going forward. He's strong on both sides of the court and could be a borderline top-100 player, assuming everything falls into place for him.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) might not be ready for the season opener, according to team president Sam Presti. The team announced that Gilgeous-Alexander will be re-evaluated in two weeks, but the organization wants to be cautious with their young guard. It's worth noting that SGA has played in a total of 91 games over the last two seasons. The Thunder have been extremely cautious with him, so fantasy managers should expect that to continue. There should be more information in the coming weeks, but it sounds like fantasy managers could be without Gilgeous-Alexander for the beginning of the season.
Thursday, August 25
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren (foot) suffered a severe foot injury during a Pro-Am game in Seattle. Although it was initially believed Holmgren rolled his ankle, it appears things are much worse, with the No. 2 overall pick now feared to have torn ligaments. As a result, he possibly won't be available to make his professional debut in October, which could open the door for Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Aleksej Pokusevski to benefit on the fantasy end. Nevertheless, Holmgren will seek a second opinion. However, with his durability already routinely questioned, this latest development won't help his fantasy stock in any format moving ahead.
