  Skylar Thompson To Start Against Bills

  Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson will officially get the start in the wild-card contest on Sunday against the division-rival Buffalo Bills. It's not exactly in idea scenario for a rookie to make his third career start on the road in a hostile environment in the postseason. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is out and Teddy Bridgewater is dealing with a dislocated pinkie on his throwing hand and a knee injury. Fantasy managers might want to just avoid the Dolphins entire offense this weekend in fantasy leagues, even receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In seven games (two starts) this year, Thompson has gone 60-for-105 for 534 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

  Skylar Thompson To Start Against Jets

  Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson will get the start against the New York Jets in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and backup Teddy Bridgewater has a dislocated pinkie finger on his throwing hand, so the Dolphins will be forced to start their third-stringer in a must-win game. The 25-year-old Thompson, a seventh-round pick this year, went 12-for-21 for 104 yards, a touchdown and a pick in place of the injured Bridgewater last week in the loss to the New England Patriots. In his only start in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, he went just 7-for-13 for 89 yards. Thompson will cost very little in DFS, but he also has very little upside against a strong Jets defense.

  Skylar Thompson Questionable To Return

  Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson (right thumb) is questionable to return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6. Teddy Bridgewater has entered the game in his place. Although Tua Tagovailoa and Bridgewater both cleared concussion protocol, the Dolphins opted to start Thompson this week. He completed seven passes for 89 yards before exiting. It will be interesting to see whether Bridgewater remains in the game if Thompson is cleared to return.

  Skylar Thompson Will Start In Week 6

  Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson will make his first career start on Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings, with Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) to serve as his backup. The 2022 seventh-round pick was thrust into action during the Week 5 meeting with the Jets after Bridgewater was ruled out. He had a rough showing in that one, finishing with 166 yards off 19-for-33 passing while adding an interception and a fumble. Fortunately, Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to return in Week 7 after clearing protocol. Nonetheless, Thompson has a shaky outlook for Week 6, so fantasy managers shouldn't look in his direction for relief.
