Kyle Philips Placed On Injured Reserve
The Tennessee Titans placed rookie wide receiver Kyle Philips (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday after he suffered the injury in practice last Friday. To make room for him on the active roster, the Titans signed receiver Chris Conley off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. Philips will now have to miss at least the next four games. In his first four NFL games, the fifth-rounder caught eight of 13 targets for 78 yards and no touchdowns. He should only be stashed in dynasty/keeper leagues. Conley will give an already thin Titans receiving corps a little added depth behind Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Cody Hollister.

The 23-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in practice and was only able to get a limited session on Friday. It appears the Titans are going to take the cautious approach and hold Phillips out for this contest. The Titans are limited in terms of weapons on offense. Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ihkine will serve as the primary wide receivers for this upcoming matchup. Woods has some streaming appeal in PPR leagues with the Titans shorthanded on Sunday.

Philips will return to action after missing the Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The 23-year-old fifth-rounder had six catches on nine targets for 66 yards in his NFL debut in the season opener, but he took a step back with just one catch for five yards in Week 2. He's also fumbled twice on special teams in the early going. Philips was impressive in training camp, but he's not a realistic fantasy option for starting lineups behind Robert Woods, fellow rookie Treylon Burks and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and rookie Treylon Burks will be the team's top three wideouts against Vegas, with Burks having the most pure upside of the trio for fantasy purposes.

Philips came into this one listed as questionable, but he'll be available to quarterback Ryan Tannehill after he caught six of nine targets for 66 yards in the Week 1 loss to the New York Giants. It was surprising volume for the impressive fifth-round pick, but the 23-year-old isn't guaranteed to see as big of a role on Monday against a very tough Bills defense. Philips wasn't a realistic flex play in fantasy lineups this week because of his questionable tag. He'll continue to battle for targets among receivers Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and fellow rookie Treylon Burks.

Philips impressed in his pro debut last week, hauling in six of nine targets for 66 yards. Even though he is splitting time with Robert Woods and Treylon Burks, the 23-year-old UCLA product has quickly proven that he deserves a large target share in the Tennessee offense. Going forward, he ranks as a high-end WR5 with room to climb even higher. Unfortunately, fantasy managers invested in his availability won't have a definitive answer on the rookie's status until Monday evening.
